I've really not payed much attention to FG defense until the game today, when I noticed something a bit odd. pre-snap, Hamlin would move up like he was going to blitz, but when the ball was snapped, he just stood there. is this the norm or is Hamlin just that terrible?

Some players are responsible for watching for a fake.

I don't know if Hamlin was one, but that's why you often see guys in the back just standing there on field-goal attempts.
