Saints 12, Boys 10; Pats 13, Boys 9

My wife is a coach. She recently lost a tournament championship by 3 points. I tried to play it down to the girls not making their shots, but she said something that stuck with me and seems prophetic in these times for Cowboys,

"If a team loses hy less than five, it's on the coach."

This is from a collegiate all American and coach with tons of experience.

Coach to tie? Do you even proofread your posts?

The Cowboys needed a TD either way. What is more likely? Converting a 4th and Scoring from inside the 15, or going 80 plus yards against the #1 defense in the league ??
They hadn’t done it all game. They suck in the red zone. You had confidence they’d score 4th and 7 when they couldn’t get 3 and 7? And teams go prevent at the end of the game. I’d rather go 80 yards to win against a prevent defense.

But even if we don't make it, we pin the Patriots deep in their territory. And if you defense comes up with a stop, you have great field position. Going for it in that case would have been the right call.
I disagree. If that drive was going a different way maybe. In the Vikings game I go for it. Today? I take the points. That drive was stalling and had a turnover on downs written all over it.

I prefer him to show balls but to me going for it there shows no balls. That’s conservative. You kick the field goal you put pressure on your defense. And it worked.
Couldn't you have put pressure on your defense by going for it? Even if you failed, you're still putting pressure on your defense.

That is because Garrett is a wussy that is scared to play aggressive...and prefers to play for last score wins type of games....when you play like wimp you lose like a wimp.

You are but you are doing it with a 4 point lead as opposed to a 7 point lead. I had zero faith they would score there. My hope was having a longer field and hoping Cooper or Cobb can break one.

Well, field goals didn't exactly win the game for us. We needed touchdowns. You have to take the touchdown at that point. So going for it was the right choice, IMO.
Be that as it may, the game is over. We loss. Insert moaning and complaining.

I’m down for the touchdown but I didn’t think we were scoring there. Not 4th and 7.

You had zero faith they would score there? Ok i get that, but let me ask you this, you would have had more faith that after they stop the Pats they could then drive say another 70-80 and score a TD? If you have no faith they can score a TD there or at least get the 1st down you should have no faith that they could have done it later after a stop...just saying

The field goal wasnt the right decision AT ALL

You STILL have to get a touchdown to either win or tie

If You score after going for it on 4th. Score is TIED and all you need to do is get into FG range for the win instead of having to go 95 yards for a TD

Foolish. 4th and 7 in driving rain. 2 of 3/10 on 3rd Down, and you want a conversion for TD with almost 7 minutes left.

It played out exactly like it should have, the ref stole a nail-biting finish.

Stop listening to Aikman. That field goal was the right decision. The field goal made it a 4 point game. Your defense gets a stop you score a touchdown and you win.
The FG decision would have only been the right decision if we would have won the game! The problem was the offense not being able to score! We do not have the talent nor the coaching to dive the ball 92 yards against the Best D in Football as proven today. We had 4th 7 inside the 10 was our Best shot. This is why we can't Win a team with a winning record. Terrible coaching has led yet to another failed season with losses to the Saints, Packers, Viking, Patriots and expect more of the same against the Mighty Bills who have a winning record on Thursday.

The field goal wasn’t aggressive lol.

Are you referring to the missed 48 yard FG in the first half? that was just plain stupid...as usual Garrett makes the wrong call. So many times he has a 50% chance of making the right call yet he consistently makes the wrong one. Even a clock is right twice the day...but for some reason Garrett has worst percentage of being right than a clock.

I did because this team
Sucks in the redzone. With a longer field I think they could’ve marched down the field based on the type of defense they’d use.

But they were doing it before the phantom penalty.

Really the only 2 good Defenses that Dak has faced this year. Not a good sign.

When Dak can beat good teams with good Defenses & do it without studs at every position than he will have turned the corner. Until than he is not a generational franchise guy like some on here try to make him out to be.
But look at his stats! Lol
