I am sure there are going to be some of you that will going down to New Orleans for the game this Saturday. I just wanted to pass on a warning that I have been seeing a lot of over the past few home games. Make sure you get your tickets from a reputable source. There have been an increasing number of counterfeit tickets being sold on the street before games. They supposedly look 100% authentic but are being rejected at the door. Please enjoy your time in New Orleans, but please beware of this scam. I would hate to hear that someone from here (Cowboyszone) had gotten bilked out of a grand.

Here is an excerpt from a story this week:

Saints-Cowboys ticket a hot commodity

While many secondary markets for tickets exist, Stanfield only recommends one — the NFL Ticket Exchange.

"Don't drive down to New Orleans and expect to buy a ticket off the street," Stanfield said. "We've had a problem with counterfeit tickets from people around the Dome on the day of the game and also before. This has been going on pretty severely the last six weeks. Counterfeits are really (authentic). We've even had trouble from people buying from other major secondary markets."

Fans should be on high alert.

"It's a guaranteed ticket when you buy it off Ticket Exchange," Stanfield said. "I think people really need to be aware. Authorities have been notified. It's an issue right now that's being dealt with."

Fans can get tickets through the NFL Ticket Exchange on the Saints Web site. As of Tuesday afternoon, there were 2,672 tickets left ranging from $248 to $5,500 per ticket.

If I was a Saints fan, I'd spend $500 a ticket for this game.

To see a blowout? Maybe at Cowboys Stadium where we have a better chance. Not there and have to hear their scumbag fans.

You have to stay seated at Cowboys Stadium at all times though like in gradeschool.

Yup, it's right. All season long tickets have been going for $150 and up. Every game was sold out in September. My son, who goes to school in New Orleans, said the best price he could get for the Carolina game weeks ago was $200. The Pats game averaged around $300. This game will probably average higher based on the 13-0 and being a Saturday night.

Just seems like a lot of money for residents of a struggling city.

Who says it's just the residents there??

Most Cowboys games at other cities go for at least twice face value, a ticket to a big game against a 13-0 team? $248 actually seems low. I wouldn't have expected anything under $300.

Not when it means so much to them. But, you also must realize that New Orleans has a solid population of middle class and affluent residents that can easily afford to continue their long time season ticket commitment.
