Beat me to it.

We've won nothing of note for going on 3 decades. We need to get over this fallacy that we're a team that everyone else is pre occupied with. It's laughable and unduly arrogant
Same way I feel. Dallas nothing more than a running joke anymore. Even if they do well in the regular season everyone expects them to choke on the playoffs if they make it

Its still the Cowboys brand, teams circle that game on their schedule...............its the same in the NBA when teams play the Lakers, even if they suck it is still a "big game" for their opponent.

I mean, who has parades with tubas and everything for winning a regular season game in freaking week 2?

You think the Jets were having a parade in Nashville today after they beat the sorry arse Titans?

Dont get me wrong, I am not saying we dont suck, all I am saying is that even if we suck our opponents still act like its a big deal to beat the Cowboys.

I do think that opposing teams and players reserve an extra special contempt for all things Cowboys based on the extravagance that Jerry displays. The plane, the bus, the Star, the stadium and his yacht. Plus the airwaves he fills in NFL fans bandwidth by being on the media so much.

In many ways there is extra gratification when they beat the Cowboys - America's Team. Just my opinion.

And then they get to dump on us fans, and i don't get why. There's nothing we can say anymore. I don't get why we get attacked for an owner we can't control. Are we supposed to just bail on our team to them?

I think it is still a big deal for oppsing teams to beat America's Team. Not because it means they have arrived, Dallas isn't really relevant as a playoff team. But because there is extra special gratification in stomping on the star and the wealthier than thou veneer the Cowboys have.

Don't overlook the power of envy in fueling opposing teams with motivation.

Good for Saints fans.
Any team that blows out the Cowboys at Jerry World should celebrate on the premises.

They need to bulldoze that stadium, it has been cursed from the very first game when Eli wrote his dam name on the wall in the lockerroom after winning the openner.
We lost that game due in part to Marketing Jerry's pride & arrogance in insisting the roof be left open for the "TV shots from above. But that September heat got to some of our guys enough to affect their play.
