Anyone catch Jay Glazer's report on The Drive on Fox?

Said that the Saints' Hollis Thomas has been suspended for suplements. Said that Thomas has become perhaps New Orleans' best defender and that this is a major blow.

Saints' Thomas suspended four games by NFL

The Saints have been one of the NFL's most surprising stories as they've jumped atop the NFC South.

While the offense has been stellar, the defense has also held its own and played much better than they did a year ago. One reason is a slew of new faces, but now the Saints will be without one of those additions for the next four weeks.

FOXSports.com has learned that the NFL has suspended Saints defensive tackle Hollis Thomas for four weeks for violating the league's policy on anabolic steroids and supplements. It's believed that Thomas did not test positive for a steroid, but rather something that was supplement-related for weight loss and/or energy. Thomas will miss the next four games after his appeal was denied this week. As a result, Thomas will not be available to return until the postseason.

Thomas had been one of defensive coordinator Gary Gibbs' most reliable defenders and a positive in the locker room.

The likeable and affable former Eagle and first-year Saints defender has started 12 games for New Orleans this year. After spending his first 10 years with the Eagles, Thomas joined Sean Payton's team this year and has 3 1/2 sacks, but is regarded more for his play against the run.

I followed the link but the part that states " Thomas will miss the next four games after his appeal was denied this week. As a result, Thomas will not be available to return until the postseason." isn't there.

My "inside sources" told me he went on a roid rage and ate Tom Benson's Girly umbrella.

Wow, that's weird... Notice how when I copied it, it was 23 mins old, and now it's six mins old. Obviously they edited it.

I wonder if now Glazer isn't sure about the timing? Maybe Thomas' appeal isn't compete yet?

For once I agree with the Eagles fans.
Anything to keep the Saints out of the playoffs.
Well you guys just got a gift.

It now says in the lead (the bolded part) that he won't be available until the postseason.

The part about his appeal is gone, but it still suggests he's out Sunday. Wonder if he can appeal it, then?

Sounds like Ephedra/Ephedrine violation.

The dude has a cold. This is an obvious league suspension so the Cowboys can have an advantage Sunday Night.

Find it ironic that our NFC East opponents usually believe the league office is in cohoots with us to win, etc. & will do whatever is necessary to secure a victory for us. We of course all know that the league hates us and hates Jerry Jones and wants him at the bottom of the pond.

i gues the nfl planted the efedra on him. get a life. the guy got caught and now he is suspended. the nfl would love to see the saints in the playoffs. it's a feel good story for the city. and i think most nfl fans are tickled for the saints. i know i am. i would love to see them win a game or two in the playoffs as long as it's not against us.it's great for the city and it's great for sean who i really like as a coach.

You know it. Jerry Jones will go to any length.
