Saints sign cornerback Glenn

NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Saints have signed free agent Aaron Glenn, hoping the veteran cornerback can shore up a shoddy pass defense.
Glenn, a 14-year veteran and former first-round draft pick who started four games for Jacksonville in 2007, has 41 career interceptions, six of them for touchdowns. He ranks fifth among active interception leaders in the NFL.

I still think he would have been better than Reeves last year..

Dare I say, we would have beaten the Giants and hit the SB if we kept him?

Dang, didn't realize he started games for them last year, I thought he was buried in the depth chart.

Good for him that he's catching on somewhere, wish him the best.

I was quite upset when we cut him. Reeves and Jones over him? BAH!!!

Good luck Aaron.

I wish him well, hope for his sake he's sober and has a good year.

 Wth. Aaron Glenn wasn't the one with the alcohol problem. I thought that was Marcus Coleman....I might be wrong but I don't think so....

I'd MUCH RATHER have had Glenn than either Reeves or Jones and I'm pretty sure the coaching staff in Dallas realized they might have also.

But let me clarify that a little bit. As the 3rd corner, only, I'd rather have had Glenn than Reeves. The problem we'd have run into, last year, is that at Glenn's age he simply isn't going to start 12-13 games for you out there at CB and he'd have had to that here, last year, with the injuries to TNew and Henry.

Reeves, as bad as he was, gave us a better shot given that he had to play as much as he did, than Glenn would have if he'd had to start all those games.

But going into last season, prior to the injuries, absolutely I wanted Glenn in the 3 spot over Reeves.

Yeah it was coleman. BP tried to give the guy one last chance and he screwed it up.
Glenn would NOT have been toasted like Reeves was.

Well one good thing is that this points to the Saints not taking a CB in the first round. I think they're watching Rivers very closely.
