Saints players told Steve Wyche of NFL Network that they went back to Boise State tape from Moore’s years as the quarterback there to see what kinds of hand signals he used. The Saints then found that Moore uses some of the same signals when calling the Cowboys’ offense, and those tendencies helped the Saints shut down the Cowboys.

Moore was Boise State’s starting quarterback from 2008 to 2011. It’s surprising that he’s still using the hand signals, and impressive that the Saints were able to decipher them successfully.

Also surprising, however, is that the Saints would reveal what they learned publicly. The Saints and Cowboys could meet again in the playoffs, so why would the Saints want the Cowboys to know what they’ve learned.

After the Cowboys’ playoff loss to the Rams last year, Dallas head coach Jason Garrett disputed suggestions that the Rams’ offense was picking up on the Cowboys’ defensive line calls. Now they’re again hearing that another team knew what was coming.

In Saudi Arabia, we'd cut off Moore's hands. Problem solved, ruffians!

Every team finds tendencies of every coach throughout their career.

It’s called advanced scouting. Every team knows what every other team likes to do in certain situations.

It’s a big headline for those not familiar with how coaching works. Not a big headline for those who know the industry.

now if they said they knew the offensive signals, they’d be more concerning. But knowing tendencies from audibles is what every team does.

What’s the Saints excuse for only scoring 10 points last year and 12 this year?

LOL. Didn’t the Rams offense pick up on the Cowboys defensive signals?

Heresay. Heard that on 105.3 The Fan. Believe or disbelieve.

This doesn’t make us any better, or anything less. We will move the ball if and when we execute!

We just need some damn defense!

The fact that this team is never prepared is a travesty.

The fact that we had 8 men in coverage just like we did in playoffs and got carved up just like we did in 2016 is inexcusable .

Every team does this to every other team. And the Rams didn't magically figure out the Dallas defensive signals, they scouted the DL alignments and the tendencies the DL had from lining up in those spots. That's called good scouting and every team does it - but obviously some better than others. Belichieck did it with sophisticated electronics.

They would have won without looking at tapes we lost the game our way

One would think that our coaching staff would make an adjustment to a college play. It shouldn't be that easy. His scheme didn't get a good three games before the wheels fell off. Question, are you smarter than a 5th grader?

Lol....so what. Doesn't mean they used any of them in the game.

so this happened against the Colts and Rams last year and now this? Garret has to go

Once again ...

a cowboys coach plays checkers while opposing teams play chess

overreaction I know. Probably means nothing

Why would saints players give up their secrete weapon? Don't believe all the hype about watching boise tape, you don't need to. They showed db's in pass protection then run blitzed at the snap so dak/moore would call a run and vice versa. They schemed us into running what they wanted us to easy.

Every team does things like this, but when somebody attaches a Cowboys loss to it, it takes on a life of it's own.

Teams constantly change their hand signals because film gets studied every week. This is a non-story. Move on, my friends.
