Accd. to USA Today article it is:

"Salary cap of $142.4 million per club in 2011 ($120.375 million for salary and bonus) and at least that amount in 2012 and 2013"

So does this give teams 22 million-plus for dead money / cap hit? ... I don't get it ..... help!

The cap will be $120.375 million. The other $22 million or so is the team's portion of benefits for the players.

No kidding. He should have his own Mr. Underrated/Indispensable Member award.

No kidding. Cincinnatti should put him on their payroll...right now.:starspin

Thanks Adam.

For awhile my Christmas list was getting a little longer. Oh well.

I thought the retired players didn't deserve anything. They knew the risks, etc.

Thanks for the explanation.

First, he would have to figure if bail money counted against the cap.

No way, I'd rather him stay here.

it is the Bungles destiny to forever be the joke of the NFL. Therefore not even Adam could help them.

Nah they'd have to pay him and I'm fairly safe in saying Adam doesn't have a criminal record so that would disqualify him automatically. :D

I don't think that's for retired players, Hos. The way I read it, the $22M is for medical, dental, etc. benefits for the players.

The retired players are getting their portion from that $690M in the CBA plus the $900M-$1M supposedly being added a year later, if I'm remembering correctly.

They knew the risks too.
