Salary cap set for 2019

So Demarcus made the franchise tag last year. This year it will be 20% more, or about 20 million. The year after that will be 20% more again, 24 million.

So the starting point for his contract demand should be at least 44 million over the first 2 years, because that’s what he’d get if he refused a long term deal... which is the downside to waiting through a franchise tender year before you sign a player long term. His price keeps going up if he continues production.

Does anyone know how much cap room we have?

It doesn't work that way. You don't pay franchise tag prices over the length of a long term deal.

with the suspension of Gregory and irving leaving Lawrence and his agent are in the cat bird seat the cowboys are at a huge disadvantage and have to sign him they cant afford for him to miss any time

At 188.2m with 11.7m rollover DAL has 47.6m in Cap Space

That is almost 2m lower than projected..... ads rates were down all year but should bounce back next year after a small rise in the ratings
