I was under the impression that we should be pretty well off. Isn't there like 20 mil in dead money coming off the books?

i'm not questioning him, I just wanted to know where he got his info from. If you include Church extension signing bonus then you get close to his number with spotrac

well with spotrac the dead money is 12,781,993
but I think we did a june 1st cut on newman which halfed it so that will still be a 4 million dead money cap hit next year

then with spencer, jenkins, and coleman coming off the books were close to 24 million if not more but then we have the 5 million cap penality

That's what I figured as well with L. Davis and Barber coming off the books??
Now I guess there will be a hit for Newman and what ever amount the NFL hit the Cowboys for the BS penalty they gave Washington and Dallas. So the savings from those two might be a wash?

He generates the info himself. He is his own source. Just so you know, there is a thread in the News Zone at the top that is stickied. It hasn't been updated in quite a while, but he explains in there how monies are distributed and why.
