Many of us know that the salary cap will probably be back on when the CBA is done, so I was curious what the Cowboys current situation is?

Does anyone know what the cap will be at and what the Cowboys would be at in 2011 and 2012? I know we frontloaded Miles' contract, among a few others.

Basically what I'm asking is what can we expect as far as free agents go. I wonder how much we can save by letting go Bigg,Marion,Igor and Columbo. Along with Brooking, Sensabaugh coming off the books.

That cant be right. No way Kris Brown is making $4M and Romo 600K

Sometimes youll get weird numbers when guys are still on their rookie deals, like Demarcus Ware, but Romo get re-upped already

From what I found from doing a quick search was that this past year we were second highest in "Total Payroll" at $146,401,600....right behind the Raiders which comes in at $152,389,371.

Gotta wait for Adam for the right numbers for what you are asking I believe.

As far as what we paid the players it's less than that....around $90 mil...cap hit is $96 mil...roughly.

Some if those have to be wrong. Austin is getting paid 1 mil? Barber 600k? Is Felix still in his rookie contract? If so till when? And how is Romo making so little. Also, Ratliff at 1.5? No way.

Again, I would want alot up front in Signing Bonus....wouldn't care the per year amount if that is right.

Austin just signed a new deal this year didn't he? Same with Romo.. And Dez is making 2 mill this year, more then 80% of the people on that list. Really weird. Can anyone clarify?

Don't get caught up in how much they are making in an individual year....it's all in how much they got up front....is it front-loaded or back-loaded, etc....

Romo is making under $700,000 THIS year but his cap hit is over $4 million.....

Romo got his money and he was thrilled with it. He wouldn't be if he kept getting under $700K every year.

Yeah I've looked around and the salarys are all over the place.

I just wonder if we have room for one huge signing like Nnamdi or Mankins and maybe a few lesser FA's.

Hopefully they can shave a few million off Roy's restructuring.

That's what Im thinking. Pretty sure Jerry made it so alot of the money would be paid this year when drawing up the contracts. Having a guy like Austin making 1.15 mil in 2012 is huge. Opens alot of possibilties.
