Are they selling their product the way they feel necessary, or do they truly believe the crap they spew?

They honestly say things that I would expect a not so knowledgeable casual fan to say, and it falls somewhere between scary and embarrassing. I have a difficult time admitting I’m a fan of this team these days, and it’s not at all about losing games.

I don’t expect them to trash players publicly, and I know Jerry only does this to be a celebrity, so asking him to shut it altogether isnt going to happen….but can’t they learn to say things like…”we will evaluate all players between now and the start of the league year, as we always do.”

How difficult is THAT? It isn’t.

So I ask again, as one example…do they truly BELIEVE that Elliott can still play at a high level, or do they just feel the need to SAY that?

I will be surprised if we see any moves until the 1st week of March. I think legal tampering is around the 7th, FA the 15th.
May see some reserves / futures type contracts though. Practice Squad player types.

I smell desperation in the what the Cowboys are doing. They scapegoated a dude (Moore) who never should have been there in the first place if the new HC (McCarthy) did not agree with him philosophically.

The have stuck with a QB (Dak) who's limitations have been obvious throughout his career and not even hedged their bet on him by drafting/signing young QB prospects along the way.

The top brass of the team are constantly selling their flat lined program by over hyping dudes (Zeke) whose careers are obviously in steep decline.

The Jones don't seem to have a business model in place for player acquisition and retention. If they do, they need to burn it and start all over. They have drafted well, but I attribute that to the scouting dept., McClay and the coaching staff. They are below average at churning the roster and understanding which players to move on from.

I hope I am wrong, but I see another year out of playoff contention and a change at HC after the 2023 season. The more dynamic front office operations in the league are going to be difficult to compete with and the Cowboys are already facing cap challenges with no real asset manager on board to help the team navigate through their roster building exercise.

I will continue to root for my Cowboys, but will no longer be financially invested in the team like I had been the past 16 years. Glad I had a solid opportunity to get out and I won't be looking back.

all the whole whine about it because you umm watched, listened, and reacted. this is a successful billionaire owner of sports franchise that worth more than any other in the world and somehow you as fan think you should follow Jerrys team then tell him how he should run it.

where's your resumes as pro sports owner, gm, or anything that makes you the resident experts??

So to set up those negotiations, Deputy Dog makes public statements about how he has not no drop off in productivity. Then why should he agree to a pay cut?

And honestly football people would look at Dak and say OK time to move on. I'm sure they're just trying to fill seats and make themselves not look like complete buffoons. Of course there's people out there that still believe Dak is the answer.
I don't blame them, hes a likable guy. I just happen to like the cowboys better.
