Ive ALWAYS liked Howell . This is a very good signing. Always thought the kid got a raw deal. You put him in our system with our talent around him and he will be more than OK as a backup QB who can start when he is needed. Staff just has to work with him on impulse throws and when to simply let a play go and throw the ball away instead of taking a sack. Pretty sure Milton will be long gone.

It’s possible they move on from milton but they make about the same money and Greer is always out there if you need him. I think they give Milton another year. But what we don’t see is gonna be important. What has he done in practice? Has he grown any as a QB?

I really hope this signals the end of the Joe Milton experience.

Howell has flaws. He's a one read QB that turns the ball over too much. But he can still be taught.

Milton, meanwhile, throws 100 mph fastballs to running backs in the flat and fires the ball ten yards over his receivers' heads downfield. It's like Milton uses every single pass to show off his arm strength.

Good signing, Sam Howell will be the backup to Prescott next season. This is a legit backup quarterback, if Dak were to get banged up and was out, this guy would give us a chance to win 2 or 3 games. He has a good accurate arm and can throw into tight spaces, Howell can beat you with his legs as well, he's got some wheels as a quarterback when he needs to make something out of nothing. Sneaky good signing for Dallas.
