I just don't see the downside to this. This guy flat out makes plays. Measurables aren't there but if you can play big time football in the SEC,then surely you can be on an NFL practice roster.

i agree. no downside at all. he will be on the ps so he does'nt take a roster spot. if he can develope as a player he can help this team down the road. if not then we move on. nothing lost

Just out of curiosity, how do Sam's combine results compare to Lawrence? Jerry said on the radio that Sam is small but Lawrence is only an inch taller and 10 pounds lighter according to the Cowboys roster information.
