Jimmy was not a dumb guy. Jerry drafts a lot of dumb lazy players. You are who you draft.

I’m a firm believer in the old adage, “You get what you pay for”.That's peanuts. Let's see what CP and the new staff can do with him.
I kind of don't really care what Jimmy says because he never had to do anything in the salary cap era.Jimmy was not a dumb guy. Jerry drafts a lot of dumb lazy players. You are who you draft.
Huh, that make ZERO sense. Complete and utter lazy trash spewed out by you. Salary cap? Jimmy? LMAO. Jimmy might of paid one player after a trade in Haley other than that he drafted EVERYONE of his guys. Lazy dumb statement on your part.I kind of don't really care what Jimmy says because he never had to do anything in the salary cap era.
It is easy to maneuver like he did when he basically just had a bottomless pit of money to play with lol
There was no cap hit to trading Herschel Walker. There was no cap hit to releasing the players (that got further draft pick compensation) who arrived in Dallas as part of that trade. There was no cap hit for Newton, Tuinei, or any other players he acquired. There was no cap hit for releasing veteran players to change the culture of the team when he arrived.Huh, that make ZERO sense. Complete and utter lazy trash spewed out by you. Salary cap? Jimmy? My favorite Sam Williams stat as a Cowboy: 9.5 sacks and 9 personal fouls. An impressive amost perfect 1 to 1 ratio.I’m a firm believer in the old adage, “You get what you pay for”.
We all hope. But this coming season will be Sam Williams’ 5th. The odds are low he is more than what we’ve seen for 4 yrs.
He also had the benefit of coaching for and against a lot of the players he drafted. He knew who would and wouldn't fit into the schemes from college to the Cowboys and didn't have to rely on scouts quite as much. His Psych degree helped too. There was no cap hit to trading Herschel Walker. You can use caps lock all you want, but not having a salary cap made it much easier for Jimmy. It is what it is.
How about these career stats for Sam Williams:My favorite Sam Williams stat as a Cowboy: 9.5 sacks and 9 personal fouls. An impressive amost perfect 1 to 1 ratio.

He's had several chances already, aside from the year he was out all season, so I don't see him making a big jump, but if it doesn't happen this year he's toast and better be smart with his money.Wow, that’s cheap. Hopefully he will finally wake up and have a good season
He will have a better team around him. He's likely to be better this year, since everyone seemed to be down. He's due to improve for sure. Maybe the coaching changes will help?! He's not likely to be overpaid, from the looks of it.
Thanks, Big Dog . . . I was beginning to run out of encouraging ideas -- much appreciated. He will have a better team around him.
He will have better coaching too.
That's downright evil -- repent for that curse or be cursed yourself. Beware of ill wishes! If they paid SW $100 bucks, it would be $99.99 too much IMO. Maybe Special teams at best. Cancer on this team promoting mediocrity.
I understand. Here’s where I disagree: Cheap isn’t often good.Good singing considering the cost.
Just the facts. I wish him well and hope he can help the team. That's downright evil -- repent for that curse or be cursed yourself. Beware of ill wishes!![]()
