hear he will declare for the draft. How welll do you think his game will translate to the NFL and what round do you think he goes on?

Also, will Zeke's influence on our team prop up the value of rbs in the next draft?

Been watching him since he got to OU, and stood in the rain the whole game as he broke the rushing record against Kansas. Perine will have a place somewhere in the NFL, but I think it'll be as part of a committee. Obviously he's got power, and more wiggle than most who look at his body type will realize, but he doesn't have a ton of burst. Over time he started to get phased out at Oklahoma by Mixon for that reason. Perine does everything well. He can catch, block and is a smart and hard worker, but he's just missing that extra gear that top RBs in the NFL have. I don't know if he would add much to the boys that Zeke doesn't already bring and if we're going to spend picks on the position I'd personally prefer someone that offers a different dynamic.

As far as the increased value of RB's, I can't say whether Zeke will make an impact on team's decision making. But based on the crop of backs coming out there will be at least a couple going in the top 20. Most of the draftniks have been salivating over Fournette and Cook for the past two years.

It will be interesting to see if there is any change because there's 2 or 3 guys you could argue have 1st round value this year, and another 2 or 3 not far behind...although the counter argument was also made this year because the #2 rusher in the league was the 150th pick.

As far as Perine...I think there are a decent # of more complete backs out there. Agree that he's probably destined for a platoon role in the NFL. Definitely wouldn't have him in my top 5 Rb's, might not even crack the top 10 depending on how many underclassman declare.

I personally see Perine as a late round pick due to lack of burst but behind this line he could be poison on short yardage and could carry the Rick a lot if Zeke were injured or needed a break.

He is a bit more elusive than one might think for his size. He will probably go higher than he should. I see him as maybe a third rounder with upside the later he goes in the draft.

I also think with this being a copycat league Zeke will drive up the value of RBs about s full round on average.

Running back I would compare him to is Michael Turner from San Diego/Atlanta a few years ago. Would be a great counter back to Zeke as a power back if we got him but I doubt we draft him. Is a decent receiver also.

I don't think his speed is as good as Turners was. He is probably a slightly faster, more elusive bigger Marion Batber.

Maybe not but I still say it's a better comparison. Particularly if you look at height/weight ratio.

If Perine does lifting at combine or pro days he will turn some heads there. You may get some linemen with better numbers but not any skill position players.

Perine freshman year highlights

I'll get to Sophomore and Junior years too. But it was about 40 minutes just for his freshman year.

Perine is good but would really like James Connor in power back/FB role.
