Same game plan

We need to keep the same game plan. I want to see a lot of empty backfields. Should be even better with Austin out there in the opposite slot from Beasley.

Finally we should have the mentality of scoring as many points as we can. There should also be some running opportunities in this game for Murray.

Even if our defense decides to not show up again, I don't think RG3 is going to be able to keep up if we fire on all cylinders.

I feel like we're finally in a position to pick up the blitz and punish teams for blitzing. Spreading them out, really opens the field up. And obviously Dez helps in that regard.

Agreed, but it wouldn't surprise me if Garrett tried to outsmart the entire world and played conservative instead.

Garrett doesn't call the plays anymore... It's only his play book now, and who even knows how much they are tweaking.. That much is established already...

Well, remember that the Redksins won't use the same defensive game plan that the Broncos did. On the other hand, the Broncos' and Commanders' defensive game plans have actually been similar in one respect this season: they've both sucked. I'm cautiously optimistic.

And if you believe Sturm's theory that we have two different offensive approaches, one for home and one away, then we should be attacking tomorrow. Sure hope so.

Where did Sturm say this? After the claims about Romo's ribs healing, I thought this was the reason for the game plan of attacking...

"But, with regards to the positives from yesterday that I think might set this team on their way in the next stretch of games, I am very interested in the offense's ability to see what they are capable of. Much of last week, we investigated the way the Cowboys see their offense and concluded a few things. 1) That their overall disposition entering the game seems to depend on their best guess about how many points they might need to win the game. This means that they do not always enter the game in full attack mode. They often play games on the road with careful caution, and home games with their mind on attacking. This is unlike the true elite offenses in the league who plan on trying to get 5 touchdowns every time they step on the field, and will certainly not limit themselves in doing so. And, 2) That Sunday we would see the Cowboys attacking to the fullest of their potential."

If Garrett actually did that, the season is already over, and any season he remains head coach.

Thanks... But I truly hope they don't play to the level of their opponent...

If that is truly the case as Strum suggest then it's time to dump JG and bring in a coach who isn't afraid to let his offense play ball. Nice so we go into games playing scared if they are on the road no wonder this team is .500. There's no consistency in the game plan at all

In 2007 this offense rolled and Garrett wasn't fully in charge.

After that we got a lot more conservative. Every once in a while we get real glimpses of what this offense is capable of, but I think for the most part Garrett has held Romo back considerably. He doesn't have a good idea of when to put the foot on the accelerator and when to take it off. I doubt there is any QB in the nfl with as many losses with 100+ qb ratings than Tony Romo. Fact is we have a pretty mediocre team. 13 losses with 100+ qb ratings. Tom Brady has 5 in a much larger sample of games.

Washington will blitz more than you saw from Denver so the empty back set won't be utilized as much.
