For starters, that was a great win on the road against the superbowl champs.

Delay of game penalties are not fixed. This was a regular theme from last season. Romo runs the clock down to nothing, defense either gets the delay or knows the snap count because the clock is about to run out. Gets the offense in an absolute passing situation and the defensive line can tee off on the weak offensive line. Also costs important timeouts.

Stupid penalties. Dallas had numerous offsides penalties again and that stupid penalty on Hatcher wth?

We didn't get to see the other theme from last season which was Garrett's poor time and game management. Hopefully that one is fixed.

I think that you are an awful poster, are you with me Rob...

Stupid rule breeds stupid calls. You can't touch the Manning brothers.

You're right. We overcame it but you're absolutely right.

It was game 1 so I expect to be a little sloppy but not that sloppy.

If it's like that all season we'll be lucky to go 9-7. If we clean it up than sky is the limit.

:laugh2: Best .gif placement of the day so far.

Tons and tons of stupid penalties out there tonight. Also, hiking the ball with no time left on the clock on almost every play has seriously got to stop. We had 2 or 3 delay of game penalties. What is going on with that? I'm tired of seeing that over and over.

Not wanting to complain but we seriously have to fix that. Glad we got the W... wooo hoo!

I would guess that a lot of the false starts were due to a new center and a jacked up crowd.

What was impressive is that we continued to overcome the penalties. We do need to clean it up to be sure.

Maybe the center and Romo only having 1 week to work together? In the end that is on Romo and he will have to tighten it up. I do like that he is directing the offense more and making his pre-snap reads with confidence. Checking to passes instead of the delayed draw was nice to see.

It was mentioned on the post game radio show last night by Rocket that having a brand new center will throw off the offensive line a little because they don't know how he's reacting to Romo's cadence. They're used to Arkin and Costa snapping the ball in X amount of time based on what Romo says back behind shotgun.

They had 9 snaps to hear and understand what Cook's reaction time would be.

I'll forgive the false starts for this game based on that.

One thing that did stick out in my head though, they never showed the replay of who false started. A lot of time the broadcast will go back and show the flinch.

When your C has been on the team for more then a few days you can probably cut the false starts in half.

13 penalties (just the once they accepted) is absolutely disgusting though

I would agree with you on that but there is one problem.. we hiked the ball last year over and over with 1 second or no seconds left on the clock. So this has been going on for a long time now. JG needs to put a stop to it.

Most of those were not even the centers fault IMO.

The difference in snap timing effects the whole line

The delay of games kill me more than anything. I'm a fan of Romo but he's gotta get the play in faster or something.. its really inexcusable. Thankfully it didn't cost us.

Who calls the plays? Who sends them in? When is it done?

That is on Red Ball not romo

Fair enough but I still think Romo can be a little faster about it.. if its really on Garrett, he has to fix that.

It's a double edged sword being faster about it means he's getting less time to read the D. A lot of our big plays come from him making presnap adjustments

I think we can all agree they have things to work on - but this was a great win none the less.

-false start pens
-delay of game pens
