Same team from last year?

Yes, Groundhog day effect for me. I will await the "they're not gonna show anything new cuz it's preseason" crowd reassurances, but I strongly have my doubts. Kinda anti climactic and bordering on depressing given all the hyped reports of the supposed new coaches, players and playbook changes that I thought might actually take place. Looks like same ol' ,same ol to me.
That's spot on.

I got the feeling it was a pre season game, the 1st time they stepped on the field since January. And no game plan and a bunch of new players playing their 1st NFL snap with other players doing the same. Oh, and no game plan. That was the feeling I got.

I also get the feeling this is just another sky is falling thread whining about stuff that should not be whined about at this point.

Well, without Elliot the offense will be different for as long as he is out.
But outside of that, the team is largely the same. Outside of getting Frederick back, and I guess Witten.

T Hill, McGovern and most of the draft class won't get a lot of minutes to start the year.
Pollard may, due to Zeke.

Did you get that feeling that we didn't get better nor worse?
Defensive roster is about the same. Offense (assuming zeke comes back) should be noticeable improved with Williams putting on weight, all-pro center travis frederick coming back, o-line coach getting fired, and having your #1 pro bowl level receiver for the entire year versus just 10 games.

I had my feelings before and after the preseason game lol.

I agree 100%. The roster hasnt changed neither has the coaching.
We were 2 games away from the SB last year. We have Cooper for a full year. Vander Esch, Connor Williams, Gallup and Dorance Armstrong all have a year of experience and should be much better. We have a new OC. Jaylon is another year removed from his injury. Pollard may end up being a weapon for this offense. It's not unreasonable to think that this team can make a deep run into the playoffs this year.

Don't you think a young rookie OC should have planned something? At least maybe the first 2 series? Score some TDS?
