I doubt that. I live in SA and the closest we came to getting an NFL franchise was the Saints, but it was more like we took care of them while they were down.

Until we can build a real football stadium, no one is coming down here.

No chance. The owners live in California, so LA would be likely over SA.

In addition, the league doesnt want another Texas team (see Saints potential move).

There will be a team in LA before SA can dream of getting one, but if San Diego go to LA, Jacksonville will be a viable option to come to SA IMO. SA will eventually get a NFL team, how long it will take I don't know, but as long as the city continue to try attract a team we are probably behind only LA as a furture spot for a NFL team. (on the move).

I am willing to donate the Cardinals to either San Antonio or Los Angeles.

My philanthropy knows no bounds. This offer can be had for a ham sandwich, but not the kind you are thinking. If you take this team off the hands of the good people of Arizona I will not ask for a ham sandwich in return, I will buy you a ham sandwich.

I know the NFL wants a team in LA...but for the life of me I just don't get it...no team has thrived there for years.

Many teams have tried it and moved elsewhere.

San Antonio just needs to give up no NFL team wants to practice in a parking lot.

first of all....SA can financially support an NFL franchise.......

second of all.......SA would support an NFL franchise.......especially if we combined with Austin to make the ASA Metroplex. Along with Building a new Football Stadium (at least 85,000 retractable roof), a MLB stadium (about 50,000 retractable roof), and then a huge ASA International Airport...

the ASA Metroplex would need a major loop that goes from SA to Austin and back.....also a monorail park and ride system to transport fans to and from their respective cities.........and also to transport commuters to and from Austin and SA....

The one thing that is appeals to me more about the Chargers, as opposed to the Saints and the Vikings, is they are an AFC team. Because the Chargers are an AFC team, San Antonio would still be able to get the Cowboys games on the Fox Network....the only games that would be lost, would be the ones on CBS, when they play at the same time as San Antonio.

I am not saying this would ever happen, but an AFC team is what I want in San Antonio if we do get a team.

I agree that LA is way more likely to get an NFL team than SA.....however, I feel LA doesn't deserve a team. They had 2 teams already and proved they didn't care to support either team. Both teams left. I don't think LA should be given another team. I feel that another city deserves a shot, not necessarily SA, but some other team.

I thought (And I could be wrong) the NFL stepped in not because of San Antonio but because they didn't want a public embarrassment so soon after Katrina.

If SA got a team, would you SA guys cease being Dallas fans or stick with the team?

I mean, I could care less about the Minnesota North Stars, until they moved to Dallas.

Deputy it would be the best of both worlds....

I could continue to support the Cowboys.....and support my new team (AFC of course)

I could root for both to meet in the Super Bowl every year. The only time it would really be difficult would be if they met each other in the Super Bowl....Since I am a lifelong Cowboys fan, I would root for the Cowboys. However, after a decade or so, I am sure I would most likely root for the SA team....since they are my home team....and are now entrenched in the community (not just some borrowed entity)
