San Diego Chargers - 24 @ Oakland Raiders - 20 Game Thread

damn that sucks for Oakland. better hope Higgins can run one back.:laugh2:

Should be 24-24 if it wasnt for that bogus call on the Touchdown being called incomplete.

Raiders had their chances in the 3rd quarter but Russell missed wide open guys.

No kidding...officiating at it's best...typical NFL crap.

If tonight was a testament to anything - it's that good teams find a way to win. period.

Since the Chargers won, I ended up 13-3 and tied for first place with 10 other peeps......

the rule states that u must maintain possession throughout the integrity of the catch....the ball fell out when he hit the ground...thus incomplete.

Bogus rule then. Jeff Fisher should work on getting that changed. Nevermind, he is too preocupied with scoreboards and jumbotrons.

The ball didn't fall out. It moved, but it didn't fall out. At best he maintained control, at worst it was inconclusive and shouldn't have been overturned. It was a bad call.

Great play call by Turner on the draw with 21 seconds to go.

It seems the modern NFL is designed so that offenses -- except for maybe the most inept ones -- are more likely than not to drive down the field and score the game winning points at the end of the game.

The NFL has become almost predictable in this respect. When a team is trailing by one score and gets the ball with at least a minute and a half remaining, I fully expect them to drive down the field and score.

If the Raiders had just a mediocre QB I think they could compete for a wildcard spot. I really like what I saw from Seymour and their defense, which actually has a lot more talent than people give them credit for. Great stable of RBs. But my gosh, Russell is just going to singlehandedly kill them. All they're asking him to do is just dump it off to Miller and his backs, and mix in the occasional bomb, and he can't even do that. Frigging 12 for 30 for 200 yards.
