By San Diego loosing yesterday, that kept the Chiefs playoff hopes very much alive. This means the Chiefs will play really, really hard next week against our Division rivals the NY Giants. Look at the state of the NYG:

• Injuries to both of their starting tackles forced the Giants to reshuffle their offensive line, and left them without a remaining substitute in the unit. Left tackle Luke Petitgout suffered a back injury in the first quarter and was taken to the locker room in the second quarter. Right tackle Kareem McKenzie hurt his hamstring blocking on the Giants’ second extra point.

Bob Whitfield took over for Petitgout. David Diehl moved from left guard to right tackle, the position where he started 16 games last season. Jason Whittle became the left guard – where he started 15 games in 2004 (plus the 16th at center). Whitfield and Whittle were the only spare linemen in uniform.

The Giants also lost middle linebacker Antonio Pierce, their leading tackler and vocal defensive leader, to an ankle injury in the first quarter. The Giants reshuffled their linebackers, moving Nick Greisen to the middle, Carlos Emmons to the weak side and inserting Reggie Torbor on the strong side.

Defensive tackle William Joseph, who had missed the previous three games with an elbow injury, left the game early, left the game on the Eagles’ first series with an injured leg.

And, Manning seems to be interception prone lately. This could be a very good chance for the Chiefs to take advantage and come up with a big win for the Cowboys.

If the NYG loose and the Cowboys come up with another "W"in, we're right back in a slug fest for the NFC East divison title. Granted, the NYG last two games of the season seem much easier than that of the Cowboys ... but the chance for the cowboys are still there.

I think they already have enough reason to play hard. They're ticked off that we beat them. I mean, you can just tell by all their post game comments!

Chiefs offense will give the giants D trouble, they have the OLine to handle the Giants pass rush, and TGreen will have a good game, that will open the floodgates for LJohnson.

Question is can the chiefs 30th ranked pass defense stop Manning ?

At this point, Dallas just needs to win out. Come playoff time, they will be playing on the road at some point. Sure, it would be nice if the Giants or other teams slip up, but Dallas can't worry about that. They also can't worry about the games they let slip away. Win out and see what happens.

You have to like the Chiefs chances in this game... Giants have a lot of weapons on offense and as long as you have 92 and 72 getting the push and pressure on the qb that they have been getting, they are going to be tough. Willie Roaf should help to offset that, along with the FB, Richardson, who had some nice blocks for LJ yesterday. My feel from just playing both teams, is that KC is the better of the two and is certainly coming in healthier and with their playoff hopes on the line.

I'll take the Chiefs 24-13

I agree, We hold the conference record tiebreaker on both the Falcons and Vikings. Win and we're in. But rooting for the Bears to win out would help us tremendously, since they play Atl. and Min. in the final 3 weeks.....Go BEARS!!!

Manning's last 5 games:

4 INT
0 INT
1 INT
2 INT
3 INT
-------
10 INT (2 per game).

A pace for 32 in a season. Not good. Not with a 52% completion %.
