Sandbagging Strategy

Do any of you believe the Dallas Cowboys sandbagged the first half of the season? They seem like a different team the last 5 games?

The Eagles employed a similar strategy to win the Super Bowl last year - Foles looked like a joke, a shell of a broken man, and then ALL OF A SUDDEN he decided to get good.

Could Dak Prescott and Jason Garrett be employing a similar strategy along with Rod Marinelli, who for years has been responsible for one of the most laughingstock defenses in the NFL.

Allow the enemy to underestimate you, then lower the boom after the underdog status has been given to the team.

Dang, the cat’s out of the bag. All of the opposing teams will now be watching for it. Back to the drawing board.

Is this serious post? Down to 2 starters on the OL. Dez gone, no biggie, IMO. Witten decides to retire draft day. Williams......have no idea what his deal is....except for he had his *** handed to him by one of the gheyest scooters, ever.

The first 5 games the infamous FO screw the pooch .

No... the difference this season is that we have a lot of players with a higher ceiling than floor.
Meaning that we have a roster filled with players that had not reached their full potential, their prime.
That's what your witnessing right now, young players that are just starting to hone their craft, and whats really interesting/exciting is that most of this young roster
has not come close to their ceiling yet, they are still getting better each and every week.
That's an old term called "hitting your peak at the right time."
Now is the right time,, and what should be a scary thought to the rest of the remaining teams entering this point in the season, playoff hunt.
I look around the league, NFC teams, and I see no other team that is built like the Cowboys, in terms of high ceiling.
AFC is a different story,, we are playing a similar team Sunday,, they have their LVE also for example... Darius Leonard.

Dumb theory, dude.

Every new thread on this forum just gets worse , Wish we had Greg Hardy , our schedule isn't tough enough we only beat one team with a winning record. Now we were Sand bagging half the season plus all the new Dak bashing threads that will crop up today .

This forum other than half a dozen good posters has drawn its talent from the very short bus . In the words of the mighty coogster SHEESH !!!!!!

The Giants tried the same sandbagging Jedi mind trick. It’s workig out a little better for us than it is for them.

They wanted their first round draft pick to appear good to Oakland/Las Vegas so they lost a bunch of games or “sandbagged” so they could present the best trade offer for Amari Cooper. They may or may not have been trying the same thing for Earl Thomas.

.... or maybe having a #1 WR really helps an offense...

No the offense was just horrible.

The offense is less horrible now and the defense is top 2.
