When you just gotta have a sandwich and cannot go out and buy one, what is your favorite sandwich from home?

I still like a simple peanut butter and jelly. I prefer wheat bread. Still hate white bread from carb loading when I played. I like crunchy peanut butter over smooth, and raspberry jelly or jam. Add a glass of milk and I am set.

This! Crunchy is the way to go. I only eat wheat bread also.

Never really thought about which sandwich I like best. I just make whatever I think sounds best at the time.

PB&J is always good. I love grilled cheese, especially with they are smashed completely flat.

Cajun turkey and cracked pepper turkey are both great.

PBJ and/or a BLT. Ditch the wheat. White bread, baby.

I'm not a big sammich at home kinda guy. If I'm that desperate to eat something I'll dig thru the pantry until something strikes my fancy.
Agreed...I'm all about the Italian sub shop ham, turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayo, hot pepper sub.

But if I'm home and in a pinch, it's bologna and white bread. Simple. Effective. Delicious.

Lightly toasted wheat bread.
4 slices of bacon, baked in the oven on a cookie sheet.
1 egg, sunny side up with the yolk cooked just barely past runny.
Lettuce, tomato and light schmear of mayo.

The perfect sandwich, 'cus it can be done for breakfast, lunch, dinner or midnight snack. Yummy!

My boyfriend (when in HS) used to work at the Kroger's Deli, and they have this wicked Chicken salad.

He makes it often at home and that is my favorite to put between two pieces of bread. Never thought I would absolutely love the grapes in it.

My second favorite is Peanut butter with bananas.

In the morning when I was young, my mom would put some melted butter on toast, and then lightly put sugar on it. Just one though. Tastes better than any donut, french toast, etc. I've ever had.

My wife makes the best chicken salad I have ever eaten. Instead of grapes she uses craisins. She also makes croissants to put the chicken salad on.

She does not realize how much I love her chicken salad. I took four sandwiches to my brothers motorcycle shop for them to try. To this day they ask me when she is going to make more.

Blt ---but if I am grilling a hamburger I put a bunch of chopped onions and roasted green chillis in a pan and fry them until brown and soft--then pour some shredded cheddar on top of that and melt it down until it chars a little

Its gooood eating

Literally?! 'Cus the process/steps for producing croissants from scratch, is like a 14-16 hour ordeal.

That better be some DAMN good chic sal!! :p: ;)

My first choice when I make a sandwich at home is bacon and egg (scrambled) on wheat with a little bit of light mayo.

Second choice is a grilled ham and cheese on toasted wheat.
