I was fully team tank as it made the most sense for what is needed and where this team obviously wasn't going. However, it has been nice to see that they have some fight in them and how they stepped up and started playing hard for Rush and Big Mike. Wonder if that will continue next year when Dak returns.

This team is stuck in no mans land. Mediocrity. Not bad enough to get high draft picks, not good enough to compete for a super bowl. Even the last 3 years when they were going to 12-5 they were not good enough to compete for a super bowl.
By signing Dak to the contract they did it all but keeps the mediocrity train rolling.
Meaningless wins down the stretch here give Jerry hope that he can still sell this mediocrity to the fan base and get away with it.
Jerry would rather lose comfortably then to win uncomfortably hence, signing a real coach that will be the voice of the locker room and not his.
He's got that guy right now and wants to be able to keep him.

And some people were rooting yesterday like it was a championship game. I can’t simply understand why people get so excited about these meaningless games. Proud? Manhood?

Im starting to think most of these people really need to rethink their lives.

MM is a mediocre coach, Dak is not elite, the defense is mediocre at best, Parsons won’t do it alone, Jerry won’t change until some really catastrophic happens.

But hey! We won against Tampa…

Yes, we can talk or discuss without silliness.

I am a Dak fan but i personally feel he cant get us over the hump. I do believe he had a good chance his rookie year, because lighting hit, but i personaly feel Garrett screwed it up, i could be wrong. Share on that if you like.

I do feel MM is avreage at best, and i think his constant fumblings is something he cant get over.

I dont like they use parsons at a position he cant survive in.

I also feel the offensive side needs new coaches.

How much of this is on JJ, i cant say but i do say this is what he wants, a medoicre team that is talked about in the sports shows and his stadium makes him money year round.

Feel free to discuss. Thank you

If Bland doesnt make the play . Do we still credit McCarthy?

By his leadership, the Bucs run down the field and win the game.

Do we still praise McCarthy?

Do we praise him if players get hurt?

Was this win worth anything more than Jerry finding a way to legit keep McCarthy?
Jerry had already made up his mind. All he needed was to see the team "compete". Winning is irrelevant except in the ratings, and we win that war every week. More people tune I'm to watch us play the Giants than any Chiefs game, which only draws interest because of Taylor Swift.

MM is ok.. Zim is ok.. I think Jerry is happy enough with ok.

my biggest gripe about MM is time management and making half time adjustments.

I think Parsons would turn some of those pressures into sacks if QB's couldn't just step up in the pocket.. if only we had a stud DT that fans have been calling for, for 20 years.

Another season wasted.. but we have next season right?.. and the circus continues.

What do we do if they win the Bengals game?

.....would we be heaping all the praise on Cooper too, like he is the main attraction at the Revival in town......had Bland not made the play? I think we still would have, so why not Big Mike?

Good post. If a team is going to lay down and get kick every week, heck yeah, look forward to a draft pick...that's what a sane fan would do. Now if that heart machine starts to beep and these guys starting fighting we with that too.

Cooper Rush is a back up. No amount of wins makes a back up a starter, only desperate teams or bad coaches. thats why we have three categories for Qbs in the NFL.

lose the next week like we do. that game wasnt propelling us to anything. you are simply looking for wins in a swamp when the ocean tide already left.
They could have easily won that game and it looks like they have a shot in the last 2.

how many players have we drafted that gotten us over the hump?

which single player in the first round whould you attest that to?

i knwo of one, but he becaome sane and left Dallas. but he wasnt the only one to help his team but he was huge.

Who do you think the draft right now that we got, would put us over?

you can spin it anyway you want.

no one really had Dallas winning.

this is not a thread for your silliness.

you would go on and on and on thinking each game was a chance to win and JJ would tell you straight to your face

NOOOOO

he has done that for 30 years, how many more years do you need?

answer taht question first.

You’ve got it.

There will always be enough teams bad enough to where Jerrys kids can be relevant.

Then those teams usurp us while we remain mediocre to where the snake oil salesman can convince enough fans how good they are.

Getting over the hump to be good enough is for fools. Look at those Rams in ruins for years after going for it all.

They aren’t even good enough to recognize if they are in a situation to compete for a championship or not. It’s all about being scared to give out a big contract to a player they don’t know…..as if the ones they DO know all pan out.

I think the issue for this team the last few years is what they do in games that matter. Bengals game somewhat mattered and they goofed and lost. Playoff games matter and they goof and lose. When all eyes and expectations are on you what do you do?
