Now you know why Parrish was let go. Their safties were hittin! Did you see the one at the end of the game? He hit the receiver so hard they threw a flag. For unnecessary roughness for hitting too hard! It wasn't helmet to helmet or late. Just too rough.

Our safeties hit as well- problem is that all too often they cannot get THERE to make a hit, faked out, fooled, freeze, whatever.

Yes it WAS helmet to helmet and the receiver was "defensless" and out of bounds. What game were you watching.

sorry...but are you ********? you can hit a guy as hard as you want, nobody will throw a flag just because you hit him too hard. :banghead::banghead:

Why do we love SF so much suddenly?

But then again, I love what Norv has done for them. Reminds me of the old Cowboys offense. Very pretty to watch when he has the tools to make it work.

Hw about that naked bootleg on the last TD. Norv was laughing in the booth...

Tell that to Darren Woodson. Remember when he destroyed the Seahawk receiver?

I hate San Fran but I like to see them competitive.

Unlike all of our other rivalries these guys have championships.

As soon as they start doing good again i'll be booing them and wishing they do bad.

But there is NOTHING BETTER than going into candlestick park and beating the 49ers in the playoffs.

Definetely my favorite rivalry.

He used the crown of his helmet. That was an illegal hit all the way.

Woodson himself said he was relieved that he recieved a 50K fine rather than the suspension he expected.

Tony Parrish was a cap casualty more or less because of age. SF played a great second half right up until the end when Seattle scored a garbage TD....

Wrong!

Darren did not duck his helmet into the wr's helmet.

The wr did that.

What's pathetic about that whole thing is that even after the league got to see how Darren Jackson ducked his helmet into Woodson's...they still fined him. But that's the NFL for ya!

This is all the result of having a former lawyer as our commish for so long.
I'm sorry but football is a rough sport and I am not in favor of having wr's just running across the middle of the field without a care in the world.

Helmet to helmet hit on wr's.
Horse-collar tackle rule...dumbest rule I have ever seen. Nothing like trying to regulate tackling. That rule goes against everything you are taught as a defensive player. It's part of the uniform for cryin out loud!

The ball was off his fingers as he was hit, in bounds. What game were you watching? You'd make a good ref.

I don't think that was a good flag by the refs, the guy was trying to catch the ball the hit prevented that. I just don't see the flag being legit.

Tell that to Darren Woodson. He hit Jerry Rice on a crossing route so hard they threw a flag in the middle of the field for unnecessary roughness. Legal vicious hit in the chest with his shoulder. Flag.

Totally legal hit by Woodson and one of the hardest I've ever seen.

Jackson had seizures in the locker room afterward.

The only reason I can think of that a flag was thrown on that hit was that it was so violent the ref figured it had to be illegal.
