Ok. Before the typical... "oh no, another reboot" or "they are too old" or "she already died" or "it's been too long" or "Hollywood has run out of ideas" or "there's no originality anymore"...


I like stories... let's see where they go with this.

It's going to be a new timeline starting from end of Terminator 2.

All movies after that will be as if they didn't exist.



Funny enough. Halloween is doing this too with Jamie Lee Curtis. Starting from Halloween 2.

From what I've read, I think Cameron has the Rights back. And if that's the case, I can certainly see why they want to ignore everything else that happened. They took 'his franchise' in directions that he never wanted and never agreed with.

I've always liked the series and if anyone can get it back on track, it's the man responsible for it.

Yeah it became a clusterfudge...

The prequels turned into tv episodes of the week.

Rise... let's get a woman...
Salvation.. let's get a hybrid...
Genesys... let's get an Asian ...

Meh... no imagination.

Everything after 2 has been terrible. I agree with Stash above, if James Cameron is running the show again, he could go back to the tone of T1 and 2, they could have something. The only thing is now Arnold is old as hell, what young actor could carry the screen the way he did; he was basically mute until he met John in part 2? The tension Arnold (he just fit the part to a tee and his Austrian accent also happened to sound precise/machine like; all German/Austrian accents do) brought to that character would be hard to replicate.

It is going to be a tough go if Arnold is not in it. Maybe his son can play that role? I don't know....

I don't think has to be a problem. If he gets in shape, then they can break up his face and have the metal skeleton and red eyenshow through.

The twist intersecting and crossing timeline was clever. But not enough to save it.
Arnold goes back earlier. Then waits for himself to return as in T1. Lol..."I've been waiting".....d'oh!

I'll be honest....I'm probably not going to watch this one. The last three or four of these have just been awful. I have zero desire to see this, even with a new timeline based off the first two movies.
