I'm warming to him over Tmac, but can we get him at 20/21 instead of 12? Stephen Jones says they want an explosive WR2. This is your guy.......

BTW......Brugler thinks we are going offense at 12

Personally ......I now think our top 4 picks will be WR, LB, CB and RB. Thinking Tony Pollard and DeMarco Murray, I can see them waiting until day 3 to address RB unless we pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd in a trade down

i have no problem with Golden per se,my problem is he is not a top 15 guy.any other draft and he will be drafted late first RD and be a productive no 2 in the NFL.
Then you have to readjust your perspective. The draft is relatively weak in terms of blue-chippers. I guy you normally would take 18-24 in most drafts you would take 12-16 in this year’s draft.

We need a real running back and Zeke and his fat *** lazy approach shouldn't scare us from using our 3rd to move up and snag Jeanty if he makes it past the raiders at 6

I just can't see this team going for a 5'11 receiver in the first round. The 40 is awesome and you could argue that the sky is the limit for him. He's a good route runner, reliable hands, good at contested catches. By all accounts, he's got great character and was their clutch player.

But this team loves length. Off the top of my head, I want to say that all our recent WR draft picks are over 6'1. I just don't see it happening.

The league will have no answer.
They'll have an answer but they can only put 11 players on the field. I'm curious to see how our new play caller will do in terms of in game adjustments.

Help me out here. His highlights looks like he gets separation quickly. He also times really well for elite speed. Although the Texas coach has a well known history of scheming guys open. Is that a concern?

True but the more you look at these draft guides, etc. it sure seems like WR is going to be the position that is going to present itself to us at 12. Surely we could use a dominant DT over a #2 WR but Graham won't be there, Nolen seems to be slipping and the other guys are also guys likely ranked in the 20s.

RB at 12? Oy.

It’s very difficult this year for sure. When you get a ultra productive in college Lamb at 18 a few years and now this bunch is slim pickings…

To me, heck yes.

With his skillset, and in that scheme, why didn't Golden go for 1500 yards?!

I like, don’t love Golden.

He has a great skill set that is beneficial to Lamb and Dak.

My issue is, at 12 it seems rich. I don’t see him ever becoming a #1 guy if Lamb goes down.

Jameson Williams went 12 and it’s similar to golden however

I like Golden but I wouldn't draft him at 12 and I still think Isiah Bond will have the better career. Bond was the hopeful #1 going into the 2024 season at Texas. He missed a couple of games with injuries and Ewers just simply didn't throw the ball to him very much. I think he's a better route runner than Golden and better with the ball in his hands. Golden is a little tougher and better at contested catches. I'd be thrilled with either in the 2nd round but not at 12.

Right.

Golden is a nice player. Not worth 12 when you have so many other tier 2 WRs to choose from.

It would be blowing a 1st round pick. Doesn't make sense at 12. I don't think it happens.
