SAS and Skip chime in on Dak vs Tony

Its funny how the same people that said Dak's preseason was an illusion and that he couldn't play are the same ones now saying he should play over Romo.

It's all about the controversy for them.

I hope this is the year we do it fellas.

Do what?

Man, standards of excellence have really plummeted. When there weren't 4 billion media outlets you actually had to form a cohesive thought to remain employed. Now you just need to be good at interrupting.
You clearly have not watched one second of Shannon Sharpe's dialog up on Undisputed.

They said Dak was only good because of preseason.

Now they are pro Dak just for controversy reasons.

Super Bowl.

Who is they?

Anyone that isnt on the Dak bandwagon is a troll at this point. Im more than happy to let people jump on board.

And as far as a SB, dont make me laugh.

Why wouldn't we be a Super Bowl contender?
Look around the league.

Let me be realistic. Lol. I love Catch's optimism but right now I see a very strong chance to make the playoffs AND make some noise once we get there. That's a pretty impactful thought.

But the way Jerry & crew handle this paradox will have a monumental effect on those playoff chances. There's something to be said for the amount of team chemistry that's building on both sides of the ball. (without our classic top players on the field) Romo, Dez, OScan

The folks who want Romo back are enamored with failure and do not want to win. There is no other way to look at it.

Well..........you can talk about it. That just isnt my style. This team has more to prove to me first. If we are like 8-1 then maybe. But I'm actually not going to harp on people saying at this point. It just goes to show how much you respect Dak, which you should.

And I saw earlier where you finally jumped of the old and brittle bandwagon and jumped on board the future is now train.

It's good to see @CATCH17 on board and looking towards a future loaded with potential.

If we stick with Dak we have good chance to make the playoffs this year and be a serious contender NEXT year. Dak needs the experience and the playoff experience if we get there. The kid is only going to get better and better. The ONLY way we can screw that up is going back on the Romo coaster. We may make the playoffs anyway, but we may not. And that will do nothing for Dak's growth and helping him be further along for next year.

The reality is we have a recipe that most NFL team do not have an answer for.

Now our defense? Who knows about those guys but you have to factor in our ability to keep the football.

There is maybe 4 or 5 legit defenses in the NFL.

How many teams can do what we do? 1 or 2 others?

GB is the worst possible matchup for us IMO. If we beat the snot out of those guys then I don't see how you can say Dallas isn't one of the best 2 or 3 teams in the NFC which in turn makes us a Super Bowl contender.

Ezekiel Elliot and Linehan are changing things right now.

Go watch Zeke in college when nobody gave them a chance against Bama. He is a warrior on big stages.

In theory Dak should need the experience to do what he is doing right now.

You can't judge him like a typical rookie because he is not playing like a typical rookie.

Not only did I clearly watch it (in HD no less!) but I even listened to it. I think the listening part was the big downfall. With the sound down and voicing my own narration it made a lot more sense.

Sadly (?) I don't watch that show with any regularity. Since there are rarely any salient, well-defended points the law of diminishing returns kicks in very quickly. The formulaic approach of shows like that and the SAS drivel ranks up there with reality TV. It is scripted to create drama when it doesn't exist with the participants being given their opposing stances ahead of time.

But hey, lots of people watch reality TV and it doesn't cost much to produce. Same with Budweiser.

Out is Garrett, RB by committee, and Romo. And in our Linehan, Zeke, Dak. The difference couldnt be any better and any sweeter.

Garrett has been relegated to the ONLY thing he is good at. Keeping people spirits up, patting fannies and helmets and chest pumping players.

Leave the real football and game day stuff to Linehan and the other coaches.

That being said, I have been impressed with our defense. Better than I thought they would be.

The fact that Carolina is struggling is huge for our chances this year. They were the double edged sword we couldnt beat.

LOL.......dont tell me about Dak buddy. I am the original Dak freak. I have taken all kinds of flack while most of you slowly came on board.

Well don't back down now and say he needs playoff experience.

After the preseason he was supposed to come back to earth.. So you feel confident saying the post season will bring him back down to earth?

Don't put your pom poms away now.

I agree about the Panthers.. That's another team I want no part of.

Still though.. Who on earth wants to face the Dallas Oline and Ezekiel Elliot?

Our run game is our Cam Newton, it is our Tom Brady, it is our Denver Defense. It is ELITE and is a great recipe for playoff success throughout history. Especially our history.
