Yeah Steven A. blew Marcus Spears up on that one. But what Spears was trying to say is, Is the QB getting the team to the Superbowl or is it the team getting the QB to the Superbowl?

Take Superbowl 41 for instance. (Bears vs.Colts) Peyton Manning lead that Colts team to that Superbowl. But that Bears team lead Rex Grossman to that Superbowl.

So is it the team carrying the QB or the QB carrying the team? But Steven A. just dogged him out on that question.

True but let's be honest with ourselves. Tom Brady is the only guy who perennially gets to the Super Bowl. Aaron Rodgers sure doesn't. Drew Bree's had some years in there where he couldn't even get in the playoffs. Phillip Rivers as well. You can't pay a quarterback to lead a team to the Super Bowl by himself.

I agree and that's the whole argument about Dak in a nutshell. His "market value" contract might, and I say might, cause the Cowboys to lose some pretty nice players. Byron Jones and La'el Collins come to mind.
