Haha you're just as clueless as he is. So he says Dak is going to struggle without Zeke and Dalton Schultz and you co-sign it and say "he's not wrong". I hope a mod delete this silly thread lol.
Right on MC, typical BSPN. That guy must be a poster here.....LOL
This team is NOT going to struggle because of losing Zeke and Shultz. Ferguson is gonna do just fine, plus Hendershot and Schoonmaker! We'll be just fine at TE. The sun doesn't rise and set on Shultz's backside. And Zeke? We're gonna struggle from losing Zeke's 2 yds and a cloud of dust??? Not! Between Dowdle and Deuce we've got it covered.
Oh and it's a sure fire bet we can't possibly do well because of Dak? :banghead:
Like I said, SAS must be a sold out hater-poster here. *SMH*
Dak is not elite, but he doesn't have to be. A lot of teams have done very well without an elite QB. He's a good QB. The Cowboys are NOT a 3 man team consisting of Zeke, Shultz and Dak!! The Cowboys are going to be a good football team despite BSPN's
ill-advised opinions.

oh wow another Dak hate thread from an idiot media person
Not only an idiot media person but the biggest Cowboys troll which brings no credibility even if he is right.

If a fan wants to present someone to support their view point bring someone who isn’t the biggest Cowboys troll.

Look if I had to err on a side of like or dislike the play of Dak, I would probably be on the dislike side (Not by much, I think it's quite nuanced in reality). However, I think SAS gives a very casual take (one that appeals to fans and grabs their attention). The idea that Schultz was some Godsend for Dak is crazy. Dak has shown ability to get it done with the other TEs when they are given the opportunities. From all accounts JFerg has had a good offseason. There is no reason to think he can't come close to Schultz numbers, unless you think he is BAD (I don't). SAS glossed over this. Gallup is now further removed from his injuries, and from all acounts, has had a good camp, and is expected (due to league injury history) to improve. Cooks is a CLEAR upgrade at the #2 spot. As far as the run game goes, Zeke was literally effective on short yardage and goal line carries. That's it. Any plays Zeke was involved with outside of that criteria, were not that good, and quite ineffective. Replacing Zeke in those situations with Pollard is a huge upgrade, IMO of course. They will likely go with Rico as the short yardage and goal-line back, and that should be mostly what he is used as. More passes to RB will likely come at the expense of TE targets.
I'm not saying everything is gravy and we going to the 'ship! I'm just saying SAS gave a very casual fan's take on the situation.

Yes, ultimately it may come down to Dak, but there have been less clutch and worse QBs to go to a SB and some to win it. As long as that rings true (and it does) then Dak is more than serviceable at the moment.

I think a more valid criticism may be how the new offensive scheme will aide Dak. The crossing routes are fun, until he starts chucking the ball behind his WRs. Mazi not plugging the middle and Overshown out, could make the defense ripe for a track and field event. Gallup not playing up to offseason hype, could be a problem, especially if Tolbert struggles in the regular season against better CBs.

I think what SAS is doing, is a script for the gullible.

Anytime you pay your QB like he's a franchise player but in reality he has to be carried by his teammates it's a major problem.
What is franchise player mean?

BTW, there are 16 QBs that make 30M or more. Yeah welcome to the new NFL. The number is going to be 20 very soon

Can't stand this guy, but he's not wrong

via @ESPN App http://espn.com/app

SAS was gonna go crazy if Jerry did not pay Dak in 2021. Now with the possibility of ESPN moving on from him, he backstabs Dak.  It goes to show that the Cowboys have few weaknesses if you are saying the Cowboys won’t be successful because of their quarterback.

Interesting point BC, interesting point. Goes to show what SAS's opinion is worth.

I wouldn't let SAS take my recycle bin out to the end of my driveway. He'd find a way to screw it up.
