You could have gotten that to three words with a little more effort.

Big FactsFried chicken is good.
Yes, have a training camp. But when a team doesn't play 20 of 22 starters in BOTH of the first games, that tells you how little value the preseason games area to a team.
Also, teams are having controlled scrimmages with other teams. They don’t need a preseason game with full contact for their veterans.Yes, have a training camp. Players stay in shape year round now. They don't work offseason jobs. Teams need to practice, but the don't need four games to play guys they're going to cut anyway.
College football doesn't have a preseason. High school doesn't. Why do the pros need this?
your opinion to me IMO having the extra 10 PS guys,Expanded rosters won't work. It's not like you're going to play different players. You'd just have more kickoff team guys.
That would mean an extra season of football for every player in 8 years. That shortens careers.
I think 16 games is too many. 14 was best.
My issues with them are:I don’t have an issue with preseason. It’s better than waiting until after Labor Day to watch Cowboys football.
At least locally we get the Countdown To Kickoff each week which highlights what’s going on in Camp and elsewhere with the Cowboys including interviews. And the local broadcast continue thru the game discussing issues, et.
More Cowboys Football is always good to this fan however it’s presented. Amazing fans who spend about 52 weeks a year visiting Cowboys forum would take issue with 4 Exhibition games preluding the season.
I am intrigued by the extra playoff team from each conference.
Only give the #1 seed a first round bye. Have the other 6 teams play in the wild card round.
This would add 2 playoff games to the opening round of the playoffs. Considering the tv ratings for NFL playoffs and the ticket costs. That’s a decent chunk of revenue right there.
I would be worried about adding extra regular season games too if I was an NFL player.

its for injury reason to have them ALL available you wouldn't need short term IR or use specific packages against certain schemes, having all your players available in game in case of injury etc is key with 18games.. I want more games and less PS games...just not enough football when you have 166 Baseball games, 82 NBA and NHL games long Golf seasons et etc..football season is here and gone off season is brutal especially here, LOL
RightActually it doesn't as the evaluation and development of your depth is critical and you can only do that in a game situation in the preseason.
It's not meant to entertain you. It's about team building and preparing for the season.
but its better then say making a TE play LT because you didnt bring an extra Linemen etc etc.. doesnt matter we wont get writhe or the POINT WAS if PS games are money grabs and a bad product , then if owners agree to reduce them down to maybe 2 they for sure wont simply use that revenue it will eb expanded to 18 so its status quo or big changes coming ..So who is going to play in case Tyron Smith and his backup are hurt because they got hurt in Week 17? Does it even matter? Whoever it is will absolutely suck at football.
There aren't enough humans on the planet capable of playing NFL football for this to work.

Yea, it suks for season ticket holders. I always gave mine away. And it is a big opportunity to sell merchandise. I’m sure it still generates revenue or the teams wouldn’t do it.My issues with them are:
1. Unnecessary season-ending injury risk for too many weeks and games.
2. Players, especially quarterbacks, are impossible to evaluate surrounded by non-NFL players around them.
3. The important players don't hardly do anything or hit in practice anyway.
4. Having to buy full-price tickets as a season-ticket holder. (self-serving reason)
5. Camp just looks like a big advertising campaign to sell paraphernalia.

True, 1st year I havent watched preseasonEasy solution don't watch them. 1st game is in Sept.
Would fans rather not have preseason games to watch and simply wait until after Labor Day to see any Cowboys play?
I’m not really sure why fans get so fussy about it? Unless of course you’re a season ticket holder and forced to pay for them.
Four words: “I will be attending.”Tony Pollard can scoot.
The End.
There's the sum total meaningful review of Saturday's dressed-up practice session.
It's long been true, but never more so than now. The preseason is a complete, utter, absolute, unapologetic, pure money grab that offers no meaningful football purpose whatsoever. It's 3 hours to identify 1 or 2 guys that can play on the punt team. Nothing more. Both teams could have named 50 of their 53 opening day roster players in May.
The Rams left 20 of their 22 starters in California. Dallas was without Zeke, Cooper, Tyron, Lawrence, and Jones, and played the rest of the meaningful guys for a hiccup. Then it was a battle for last place in the Big Sky Conference.
The NFL has to stop this. Why show the world your underpants for just for a few dollars. The owners are pimping these preseason games out to the unwashed masses purely for profit, because the players get paid next to nothing for these games. Stop dressing these games up like Harry Hines' finest.
No, I don't want an 18-game schedule. But the NFL needs to stop insisting on 4 of these time wastes. The networks hate it. The players hate it. We hate it. The coaches mostly hate it.
It's just a good way to get players injured for the sake of blackmailing networks and season ticket holders into buying into this garbage.
