This morning in watching the usual tv sports shows featuring our beloved Cowboys. The one thing agreed upon by each show is that Big Mike could be the road block in the team long term success. That being said,
do you see a scenario that instead of losing OC Moore, Jerry instead fires Mike and promotes Moore to HC.

No way Jerry let’s Moore walk.

Stop it. No way Jerry fires Big Mac Mike. Unless we have a complete collapse. This is the same GM that stayed with 8-8 Clapper for 10 years. So why do you think he's gonna fire a probable playoff coach to keep Moore??? Even Jerry the GM isn't this stupid. Not to mention the blow back it would cause on the team and media. Best case scenario for this would be Big Mac Mike winning the Super Bowl then retire.

last thing you want for a young team is a coach in training. We had that with Garrett. Didn’t work out so well.

Why is it the team looks diferent...we all agree it is....but yet LETS FIRE THE COACH..jesus...
This thread is not to fire the current HC. More or less about how much Jerry is wanting to keep Moore and how far will he go to do that.

Must be great to build a HC resume off getting fired. Am I the only one to see his game management buffoonery?

Wait til we are playing a winning team in the playoffs and he makes these clown decisions of 4th down and time management. We get to exit the playoffs early.

No
Jerry is not eating 18-20 million

No doubt Kellen is a better OC than Mike is a HC.

That said being a Head Coach requires more than smarts. Not sure Kellen has what it takes to be a better HC than Mike. It is possible he could be Garrett level HC (Yikes!) It would be quite the gamble to make Kellen HC to keep him from leaving.

NFL owners do not put 33 year old guys with less than 5 years of coaching experience in charge of Billion dollar franchises.

Right or wrong.

The Peter principle is a concept in management developed by Laurence J. Peter, which observes that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to "a level of respective incompetence": employees are promoted based on their success in previous jobs until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent, as skills in one job do not necessarily translate to another.[1]

I'm OK with Moore interviewing for HC jobs and milking Jerry for any non salary cap money he can get. I think at the end of the day Moore enjoys being an OC and he wouldn't enjoy being a head coach and he knows it. He likes the X's and O's stuff and he has a supercharged offense to drive for the foreseeable future.... Why throw that away so you can go learn a different job and try and sort out a dysfunctional team?

If MM does something that deserves to be fired for, like being 1-and-done in the playoffs, then yes, MM will likely get fired. He WILL NOT receive the JG treatment.

But I don't think we fire MM just to keep KM and make KM the HC. That would be stupid, especially if this team makes it to the NFCCG or SB.

JMHO

Can't we enjoy the win for at least a day before all the negativity? Rhetorical question.

I doubt it. They have an excellent shot at the best record in the entire NFL.

in 2023, maybe. not 2022. but Jerry may make a promise to Moore as he will probably get head coaching offers and pay him more than all of them and even more than MM.....just to ensure he keeps him around, which will make for strange coaches room......Jerry tends to do that stuff
