When the Parcell's purge of players begins, it will probably start with Davis. One of the quickest ways to improve a bad team is a special teams upgrade. And Davis sees his starting window closing fast. Miami is bad enough that he could start at SS there and he would come relatively cheap.

So don't be surprised if he lugs his bullit riddled body to the sunshine state to join the fish.

Why dont we just make Roy fight for his starting positition with Davis in the offseason and get this over with?

We'll need to make room on the roster for a new crop of rookies anyway.

Although he's been a good special team performer for us, Bill can have him.

I don't know what is worse. The fact that you couldn't resist turning this thread into a RW thread or you actually thinking that Davis would be an upgrade.

Davis is an upgrade to RW! Maybe not a whole lot, but significant. His play was alot better imo.

That is so classic on your part.
Someone posts something and you respond with some self-righteous, arrogant nuthin'. Like someone is taking up your time.

Can't you respond in a civil manner? Can't you just bypass the post?
There is a growing sentiment that idiot, snide remarks, aimed at those who commit the crime of posting, are growing old.

Contribute or just shut the hawk up, feller.

You added nothing to the discussion, just some smart-snotted question.
Again, respond civilly or in the spirit of give and take or just put a sock in it, tough guy.

Doubt that is how BP will spend money - at this point everyone knows Davis is what he is -- a good ST player who isn't going to give you much as a defensive player. Back when KD was last on the market people thought he could play S regularly. But we know that is just not true. His value is diminished.

Bill is more a build from the inside out guy - that goes double when you are rebuilding a 1-15 team. A team that feels it is close goes after ST guys, DBs, and the like. A team that needs to completely rebuild itself deals with the guys close to the ball first. Ryan Lilja would be the guy I would expect he gets after. Corey Williams maybe. Those sorts of guys. If he picks up an ST player, I'd expect it would be a TE or LB who can push for some playing time.

And no, I don't think he's an upgrade. We should not get into a bidding war for his services.....

Keith davis is no loss at all. and Roy is flatout terrible. we better come up with more options than these guys this offseason.we have got to get a real SS in here. these two guys stink.

Because as lackluster as Roy has been playing as of late, he is still an upgrade over Keith Davis. Besides, hate to break it to everyone, Roy is not going anywhere.

Roy has the talent, he just needs to be more diligent this offseason in not only the weight room, but in watching film as well, and let that translate over into all of the mini-camps, training camp, and the regular season.
