Saying adios to Dak if this happens

Watched all em throw, sort of agree with Catch17

- fields is dak, if you want fields just pay dak because its gonna take him a couple of years to develop. He’s like Russ when he first came in, will be a bus driver until year 3

- trevor, ball looks hella nice coming out of his hands. Hard to judge how he will play in KM 40 step drop offense because they are a true wc with quick throws but his arm talent is there

- trask will bust, balls look like peytons ducks at 40 years old, he may also be working with the best receivers atm but i could be wrong as it looks like his offense is more on the receiver getting open than trask delivering anticipated throws

- zach is the interesting one, i got him as. Qb2. As catch suggested only seen him play 1 good team but he has the young AROD wheels with a little less zip on the throw, they are nice but they are nothing close to trevors bullets

Lawrence is Herbert with more upside. Very similar.

Lance.. Needs a ton of works on mechanics.

Fields screams Dak. Dak with better wheels.

Zach Wilson. I like a lot about his game.. I just wish I could see him play a good team. He’s got some Rodgers to his game but I don’t see the same arm strength.

I like Mac Jones.. Reminds me of Romo after Romo dropped the complete gunslinger mentality. Like a 2014 Romo.
Yes finally catch we can agree. I would be open to drafting wilson if it does not cost a future first and we can get a free agent or two a la von miller, jj watt, patt pete, justin simmons, DT from tennessee

Using our top-5 pick and next year’s (likely high) #1 pick on an unproven college QB, ignoring all the holes we have on the team.

Brilliant.

Right. I love @CATCH17 but he is just like everyone else; gloats about how they were right about something, completely ignores the many other times they were very wrong.
I remember he was very keen on Herbert so fair play. More so than me but I was keen and had him over Tua all day long. I stated the same on here (honestly :)) but I can't be bothered to locate the posts.

It's a point worth highlighting by Catch because so many posters on here seem adamant that it's a complete lottery and borderline impossible drafting a QB in the first/second round...when it's not and if the scouts do their job then we have a quality QB for peanuts for 5 years which is the way forward.

If a QB like Justin Herbert is available in the 2021 draft, I'd do everything to get him and say so long to Dak.

Even if it means sending off a 1st rounder in 2022.

Justin Herbert is an absolute baller.
Brother I will tell you a secret, we were already putting up 40 points. A superstar QB is not going to fix this team, even Trevor Lawrence cannot.

If we are taking a QB we need to risk little to NO draft capital, draft defense and then sign 2 FA. This cannot be lets trade Dak give up a first have a rookie QB and the same defense, it has to be draft Zach if he lands to you and allocate the 40M to two first tier FA that will lead their position groups to success, we need addition by subtraction not just a replacement.

Right. I love @CATCH17 but he is just like everyone else; gloats about how they were right about something, completely ignores the many other times they were very wrong.

Umm.. No.. I own up to things I’m wrong about.

Everyone said I was wrong about Andy Dalton but through his first 4 games the teams results weren’t much different then they were with Dak.

Dak and Dalton will get similar results because both guys have about the same impact on the outcome of a football game.

That’s been my stance.

Being scared of drafting a QB is a 1 way ticket to mediocreville.

QBs on their fat 2nd contract is not an advantage to the team and I don’t care which QB it is.

Well I really wanted Aaron Donald and Darrell Revis when they were coming out but knew we were too far away to get them. Then again I'll admit that I wanted Barbie Carpenter. Boy was I wrong on that one.

Zack was a good consolation prize

The top-5 teams in the NFL all have QBs on their 2nd (or later) contract:

1. KC
2. Pittsburg
3. New Orleans
4. Green Bay
5. Seattle

Lmao then you definitely can't admit when you're wrong.
