Saying adios to Dak if this happens

Umm.. No.. I own up to things I’m wrong about.

Everyone said I was wrong about Andy Dalton but through his first 4 games the teams results weren’t much different then they were with Dak.

Dak and Dalton will get similar results because both guys have about the same impact on the outcome of a football game.

That’s been my stance.

Lol. You’re wholly wrong about Dalton / Dak. Inexcusably so. But regardless how do you answer a question about what you’ve been wrong about by trying to refute something you were called wrong about

If a QB like Justin Herbert is available in the 2021 draft, I'd do everything to get him and say so long to Dak.

Even if it means sending off a 1st rounder in 2022.

Justin Herbert is an absolute baller.

J12, you cannot get on the 4 horsemen team on Dak, there manager will not let you.

Hebert getting a little overrated in the media but hes not a Cowboy so I dont care. He's good but pump the brakes

Regardless of what you think, grabbing a young QB like Herbert injects life into your organization and fanbase. Even their Head Coach didn't believe in him at first. The key to a franchise is the QB. If we let Dak go, it better be for another one that we absolutely KNOW will play top 8 QB play or it will be a disaster. I think Lawrence can be that guy, maybe even Fields but that's about it. Hard to find a QB that is good at NFL football.

Dak was a 4th rounder that turned out to be a winner. How much will herbert ask for when his new deal comes up for renegotiation.

I was thinking Sunday how the excessively used "you are what your record says you are" sure does not apply to the 2020 Cowboys and Chargers. Because the Chargers are SO much better than 3-8 and Cowboys are worse.
What a poor bad luck year for that team. Herbert is going to be special and the Chargers should emerge in 2021 (they have some key players out the whole year too). All that said though, no to this idea. Dak 2021!

Funny, I remember about the middle of last year when the Fox pregame guys were asked which QB they'd take #1. Jimmy said "Herbert" when most people assumed Tua would be everyone's #1. (To be fair, one other person answered Herbert as well.)

To be fair, Tua destroyed his hip and is far from all the way back. Its too early to tell about either guy. Dak looked like the second coming of Brady his rookie year. Sometimes, being a rookie is an advantage and it takes the DCs an off season to catch up.

Probably the same Dak is asking for. Near top of the market.

Maybe slightly more than Dak's asking price but not by much.

Watched all em throw, sort of agree with Catch17

- fields is dak, if you want fields just pay dak because its gonna take him a couple of years to develop. He’s like Russ when he first came in, will be a bus driver until year 3

- trevor, ball looks hella nice coming out of his hands. Hard to judge how he will play in KM 40 step drop offense because they are a true wc with quick throws but his arm talent is there

- trask will bust, balls look like peytons ducks at 40 years old, he may also be working with the best receivers atm but i could be wrong as it looks like his offense is more on the receiver getting open than trask delivering anticipated throws

- zach is the interesting one, i got him as. Qb2. As catch suggested only seen him play 1 good team but he has the young AROD wheels with a little less zip on the throw, they are nice but they are nothing close to trevors bullets
Very awesome post.
Thank you for the info!

Well heck ya Herbert is revelation and should be gone 1st overall but we'll never sniff Lawrence and Lawrence might not be as good as Herbert. I love watching Herbert's long ball. A thing of beauty.

The top-5 teams in the NFL all have QBs on their 2nd (or later) contract:

1. KC
2. Pittsburg
3. New Orleans
4. Green Bay
5. Seattle
You forgot to add, top 5 QB's. Signing mediocre QB's to huge contracts keeps you from getting into that top 5.

Because I’ve consistently said Dalton can get Dak like results. So far the team is no better or worse. We’re about the same.

I’ve also consistently said Dak is better than Dalton.

Both need optimal situations to succeed and neither is a difference maker in results at the position.

sorry, don’t think so at all what?
That the consensus was that Tua was the top prospect over Herbort. He might've been by a very slim margin, but he was not even close to consensus.

Oh lol. I’ll be right back to help you with that

Tua 9th, Herbert (stopped looking after 25)

Tua 7th, Herbert 28th

That’s literally the results IN order of googling “2020 draft big board”. Dunno, is every single one having Tua considerably higher a consensus?

I mean he was only the heisman and national champion.

“Astronomical” lol.

And this is all with Tua injured
