It's termed "Message Board Suicide", and I agree - if you want to leave and let people know then send a PM. I have nothing against Eric, in fact I'm a member at DCC and enjoy both boards, but from my experience 99.99% of those who post MBS end up coming back.

If you decide to move on permantly, then best of luck to you in life...

Considering Eric's last few posts on the Political Board, I would say he loved the attention he got... and can't get enough, especially since he came back here 8 hours after he posted this just to see who might have responded. He's not fooling me.

I have no problem with him doing this because of the manner in which he did it.

Some of those complaining about it have done worse when leaving.

I thought he was respectful in his goodbyes whether he comes back or not.

I also think it is kind of sad that others have to try and get in some cheap jabs when the guy is being respectful and leaving...I would think some of you would wish him well and then be happy that he is gone because you may not like him.

But that is just my opinion.
