Scandrick Contract

ive been saying that for weeks but people just do not seem to understand that paying 50% of top vet salary for a primary backup that plays over half your snaps is a pretty good deal.

It was always a reasonable deal. People just don't get what NFL CBs get paid these days.

Any time you can pay one of your own guys before he hits the open market, you're a winner. It may seem like a lot *today* but in a year or two when that guy hits Free Agency, that price will only keep spiraling upward.

5 million a year not so bad?

CBs are getting expensive

It would a good price for a good nickle corner.

The question is whether or not he is a good nickle corner.

Based on his 100+ QB rating against, I'm not sure he is.

I think he has the potential to get better however -- he was thrust into a starting role a lot this year and he just isn't that type of player.

every contract ends up looking cheaper down the line.

however, what we paid OScan really makes me wonder about the reports that we thought we had Carr for 7.5 a year.
