Scandrick Has No Heart!!

Scandrick thinks he's good? He's awful ... Alan ball need's to be playing nickel over him.Much better player ...much better.

Scandrick was/is considered maybe our most fiery young player. There's something wrong when he's not laying his body on the line professionally in a game.

Moral? Injury? Agent wanting more for performance and making him give what he gets? Actual human error in his job? Maybe the wear and tear of the game on a player his size/snap ratio?

Good coaches will figure it out and if he still has the passion to train and play to his best effort, he will once again derive results that will have the Cowboy fandom mass' singing the overachieving gospels they have in the recent past.

Personally, I saw too much promise out of him last season to simply give up so quickly.

I'll be the first to admit his overall play has been pretty disappointing this season. However, he wouldn't be the first player to go through a "sophomore slump", and I certainly wouldn't want to call it quits with him just yet.

Last year, I among many others thought he was on his way to becoming our best corner back in a few seasons...It was Jenkins who many of us were unsure of. But this year, Jenkins has really turned it up and unfortunately, Scandrick has been unable to do the same.

I say lets give him at least another season instead of making knee-jerk reactions. After all, he was impressive at Boise and as a rookie last year...I have a feeling he will come out of this slump and become a very productive player for us!

In a general sense you nailed it right on the head. But furthermore, Scandrick is an "ideal" corner against shifty/smaller/speed/agile slot WR's than powerful larger/deceptive/rangy/ ball challegining WR's.

To add, the scheme needs to be more man while keeping the WR in front as opposed bump man and maybe having to turn around and jump challenge a ball in the air. That's weakness and before that are his strengths. \that's why the slot is so good for him because those aren't the jump ball scenarios as much.

It's not speed or recognition, he has that in abundance. It's size, above average physicality and because of that he lacks body position in certain schemes on certain passes in certain parts of the field against WR's that play on the outside and can go up 1 on 1 for a ball on an island with the smaller CB.

Put him in the right situation in a scheme (slot) where it's quick reactions in front with less jump balls and you will see him at his best. Thrw in the moral factor and it's more than we could ask for out of his draft status and salary.

I'd be fine with Scandrick against Wes Welker in the slot all game, heck Desean Jackson when Philly assigns him to those routes and part of the field. But outside with or without safety help against the 6'2 acrobatic types he won't hold up by the start of the 3rd.

These are the reasons Jenkins goes in the first and Scandrick goes in the 4th. Outside on the island the is no shelter and the rookie warts get exposed right away. The slot is no cakewalk either but you're not on that island and that WR is a more common make up. Outside you Get Randy Moss, Steve Smith, Larry Fitz and Andre Johnson. All different elite animals.

Where is Jamal Love when you need him. Probably making a porn flick somewhere.

Wow, it almost seems like people said the exact same thing about Jenkins last year.

Alot of them said it during preseason and the first few games too. Some were PO'd when Wade finally did announce Jenkins was the FT starter and wanted Scandrick to get mroe chances.

Jenkins has been really good, and he's been playing with an injury that they said wouldnt be 100% until the offseason too. He's gonna be a future probowl fixture for years to come.

There are stupid threads and just when you think it can't get any worse, you get this.

I wonder do some of our fans watch football to enjoy the game or find that one play in football that happens to any one that play football, to bellyache about.

Wait wait wait!!!!!

Just who was it we were having this discussion with last year?

LOOOOOOL.

Scandrick is a vicious hitter. He's still a little raw, but calling him soft just proves you're a casual fan.

Hang in there Scandrick they said the same thing about Jenkins last year.

Scandrick has made some mistakes he has also played very well at times, not sure if some know this but if you play the game or ever played the game then you know that players will make mistakes and all you can hope for is the player learns from his mistakes.

Might as well not even go to the draft this Spring...I mean, anyone we draft is going to make boneheaded plays at some point which must mean that they're soft and have no heart. So why draft them? Why draft anyone? Hell, remember Jenkins last year when he wanted no part of tackling Ward?

I think we better bench him too...maybe even release him...

It is amazing how quickly some will turn on players. Jenkins, Romo and now we see it with guys like Scandrick and Barber. I like you when you make a play but make a mistake and all of a sudden you have no heart or desire?

If you tivo'd the game please freeze frame his attempt on tackling Hixon on the punt return. No heart, no desire, no fire, lackluster, just awful! bench him!!

Mike Jenkins talent is so obvious . The guy has already become a top five corner back in the entire league. Scandrick .. He can't tackle, he can't cover,he's awful plain and simple. We need to make a change once hamlin gets back . Start Alan Ball in the nickel package over scandrick !

I Would actually move Newman in the slot in our nickel, and move alan ball to the corner. Bench scandrick. Make this move once hamlin comes back next week. Otherwise your going to see Sean Peyton expolit scandrick to death.

Alan ball is really improving , give him a shot in the nickel.
