sensabaugh is as close to a complete safety as we have had since Woody. I love this guy. His tackling hasnt been great because, he cant grab hold of anything with his broken hand. im just glad he is playing because with one arm he's still better than watkins.

Agree. Sensabaugh is a poor mans Woody.

He's not the ballhawk many people envisioned, but he's been solid considering the injury.

I don't recall very many long passing plays given up by the Cowboys safeties this year, so I have no complaints against Sensabaugh. This was a big problem in the past, but hell, the defense has only allowed 5 completions of over 40 yards all year. Not bad, if you ask me.

this thread is a total fail on both cause Scandrick has been good most days than not if you dont think so go look at film of when we had Nate Jones and Jaques reeves for validation and the swipe at Sensabaugh is just dumb he has been pretty lights out with his tackling and ability to always be around the ball
On which days has Scandrick been good? Training camp doesn't count.

It also was sensabaugh's fault that Jacobs had that td run. that was his man to get .

He is highly overated on this board, If he was that good our secondary wouldn't be ranked the way it is. Newman and Jenkins have been good, espically jenkins, but Sensabaugh just looks lost to me sometimes. Alan Ball is out playing him and Hamlin if you ask me.

When a defense gives up passing yards it isn't always on the db's. Linebackers are in coverage too, and a soft zone like Wade seems fond of calling will result in giving up yards as well. But the soft zone also will result in less points if played right. Bend but don't break.

Sensabaugh is severely overrated by this forum.
He's solid. He's not great by any means, but he is our best safety.

So I'm guessing you didn't see the coverage mistake made by Spencer.

You can believe Wade if you'd like, but I prefer to believe what I saw with my own eyes. Spencer was covering Jacobs on that play and got beat.

I guess you would rather have Charlie Williams back there?

Wrong. Spence played too flat and reacted late to BJ coming out of the backfield.

Please, don't take this to heart, but, just what in the hell have you been watching the past couple of weeks ? Because, it hasn't been this team.

Hey now? Why point out the obvious when this is a bag on Sense thread?

Let me get this straight, Nevermind the fact that TE #84 for the Giants, is heading straight into the zone where Sense is? And yet, BJ is HIS guy? Okay, that explains everything.

Nevermind the fact that it looks like "man" coverage/safety zone on the play. Looks like Brooking is spying/playing middle underneath zone. Brooking reacted quicker then Spence did to BJ going outside.

You and Wade don't have any idea what you are talking about. And friggin Wade should. LOL.

My guess is Sensabaugh has the most missed tackles of any player on the team, though someone up front may beat him at that due to being closer to the ball. I doubt it, though.

And he's not particularly good in coverage, zone or man. He is an upgrade at SS as compared to what we've had since Roy in his early years, though.

You know who's really not good?

Phillips.

Sensabaugh has been a great pickup by the Cowboys.

You must've missed the guy blocking or holding Sensabaugh so he couldn't get to Jacobs. It wasn't a lack of trying that's for sure.

Sensabaugh has been a pretty good player and thats obvious so lets throw that out the window.

Scandrick worries me but of course Cowboy fan is going to take it wayyyy overboard like they did with Jenkins last year.

Hes a young player and he'll only get better.

This board hated Jenkins last year based on 1 PLAY. I've never seen a guy get that much criticism over 1 freakin' play. That's not even a fair comparison. Scandrick has been having bad games all year long, but I'm not ready to give up on him yet. I was probably in the minority last year, saying Jenkins was actually the better player based on pure athleticism. I also loved him coming out of college and was so happy we got him.

I don't how anyone could have missed that. It was so freaking obvious. They're either A) Blind or B) need HD.

I wasn't sure who the better player was but I never once said that Jenkins was a bust based on anything I saw last year.

In fact I thought he played well for a rookie corner.

I've seen some of the really great NFL corners have absolutely embarrassing rookie years so I know better to call a rookie corner a bust.

Plus he looked pretty good in the 2nd Giants game in December last year.

He knows technique now and he is just all over guys.
