I don't understand why any Cowboy fan would wish bad for Scandrick. Shouldn't we all hope he flourishes into a player?

He will flourish and all of these premature ejacks will go back into seclusion to await the next big perceived pariah...

Smith would have eaten any of our corners alive. I said it weeks ago when we first played them but everyone acted as if I was speaking Japanese... Steve Smith is GOOD.

Keep on hating on my boy though. :D :D :D

Not saying Steve Smith is bad. However, their has to be a way to account for the man. There's no reason for him to be running wide open like that. If Jenkins is supposed to be our best CB. Why not lock him up with their best WR?

He was killing us in the slot and Scandrick plays well in the slot... But I agree...

Jenkins wasn't getting toasted like Scandrick is...

Last season? Jenkins not only got toasted but apparently had baby oil on his arms and hands because he couldn't tackle.

Even if he plays well in the slot there has to be some sort of adjustment. If the first game didn't prove that then this one sure as hell reiterated that point.

Scandrick is okay but he's definitely not as good as TNew or Jenkins, who should go to the Pro Bowl.

The slot CB is a very hard position to play because you have to be physical enough to tackle and you don't have the sidelines helping you to defense the receiver.

Newman has done it for years to us but is getting a bit old so they want to spare some wear and tear on his body and find someone else to do it. Scandrick hasn't been that bad most of the year.

NYG make it particularly difficult with their #1 WR playing in the slot so much.

I would suggest the next time we play the Giants we have Jenkins or TNew shadow Smith. Wade should have figured this out after the first game this year - I think he may be beginning to slow down as a DC with his adjustments.

How dare you bring real perspective and actual football knowledge to a typical call out party???

The Giants probably were targeting Scandrick more than they were targeting Smith, specifically. According to Pro Football Focus, the Giants targeted Scandrick 13 times in the first meeting (when he started), and more of those went to Manningham than went to Smith (Nicks didn't play). So if Scandrick had been covering Manningham or Nicks instead of Smith today, those guys probably have had more passes thrown to them, and Smith would have gotten fewer.

So how many games does it take to learn that Steve Smith is very good in the slot? Last game didn't prove that? He's been doing that his career. He was actually a slot guy behind Toomer and Burress and was a consistent third down target. So how much longer till our coaches that Scandrick in the slot against Steve Smith isn't a good idea. I could of sworn the first game would of clued them into that.

So scandrick is just Jaquee Revees.

Bob, you really do live week to week don't you? One week Roy sucks, the next week you're "eating crow." You wanted to bench Spencer too.

It's quite possible that you should just sit back and put the premature evaluations to rest for awhile.

But wouldn't it have been easier for Scandrick because the throws are longer, he can use the sideline as a defender and it is more easy to give him double team support deep and inside.

This season, that's been true too often. But at least he's not starting, as Reeves did.

Yeah he's def not living up to his rookie season which is very disappointing that's the breaks I guess. Is it too late to sign pacman?
