The sports/entertainment media should be treated like dirt. A bunch of losers who couldn't get jobs in real journalism.

And if I was coming off a loss and feeling disappointed and/or exhausted, I'd want to go straight home or somewhere else to decompress instead of being forced to answer the same pathetically cliched questions asked by the aforementioned morons that they ask after every game or sign autographs for fans who think just because they pay for tickets they own the players and can make demands of them.

He is horrible with fans too lol . Never any pics or autographs just dogs them, ignores , and walks away .

I can't speak how he always is but I work at a nightclub and EVERYONE there that night got pics with him who wanted them. Probably depends on the surroundings. If the guy has something to do and is being stopped for a autograph...I mean what can someone expect?

Sports/entertainment is real journalism thoguh lol. I don't care how they are treated it comes with the job IMO, but sports entertainment is probably one of the most profitable forms of journalism.

Not sure after the Denver game, but Scandrick was among the NFL leaders in fewest yards allowed per route (which is an accurate indicator of his performance in coverage). He's been the Cowboys' best corner for a while now; but the typical fan doesn't see it.

He's having a better season than Mo of course. We are in 31st in pass defense so let's not go handing out any awards just yet. He doesn't go against top WR's either, but he's improved I'll give him credit. But typical fans don't see the bigger picture.

He is like that at training camp . I mean c'mon a 7 year old kid ask you nicely and you don't even acknowledge that's cold . We are talking about Scandrick , he acts like he is a mega star or something dude should be glad ppl actually know who he is . Dez is loved by the fans because he is the nicest guy ever . Signs autos , handshakes , pics , hugs he is a sincere down to earth guy .

Wait so none of these sports journalists actually aspired to be sports journalists when they were young?

Players never win picking fights with the media. The media will always have the last word.

The only opinions the media control are those of the disengaged or barely coherent, and who cares what those people think?

Apparently you and everyone who constantly complains about the media. But what does that have to do with my statement? Scandrick and other players may THINK they don't care about the media, but you let the media write a bad article or do a bad segment on you, oh, you'll care.

He really looked like he was very uncomfortable and awkward to me. I think he might have some social anxiety. That might explain his treatment of fans/media.

Yep plus you can tell he's an intelligent guy b/c he calls out the b/s questions.

you don't want to give a team like the Commanders bulletin board material. ..or any team really. Media can interpret it as a lack of confidence, but I think it's being a good sport. It's like Peyton Manning saying that Jacksonville is a good team. Media can laugh (and that IS funny), but it's the right thing to do and say.

so you take one instance and proceed to brand the guy for all time. Really intelligent.

The media is mostly garbage these days; they should all be treated with contempt until they show they deserve more.

They call him Orlando the Grouch on the Fan.

Man, it was classic the way he almost completely ignored the guy interviewing him over the phone and then dissed him by saying "Dude, I don't even know who you are" when the guy said he was afraid of crossing paths with him in the lockerroom. The guy caught merciless flak for that train wreck of an interview for like a week.

That giant chip on his shoulder is what is making him the player he is.

Claiborne needs to adopt that chip, same with Miles....team would be far better off if they did.
