Scandrick upset that he didn't start

Without reading the article: Scandrick has always seemed to play better when he "has something to prove" IMO. So I'm happy if he felt upset by it... He's come out just playing harder when he has a chip on his shoulder in the past.

Did anyone actually read the article? It didn't sound like he was mad. Click bait.
"Those are questions you have to ask Jason Garrett," Scandrick said. "I just work here. I don’t determine how much I play."

The "I just work here" comment is a common way that players indicate they are ticked-off but don't want to directly criticize the coaches.

He just isn't playing well this year. I don't know if he is injured or Father Time has caught up to him.

Brown is playing better overall. All good scan, prove the coaches wrong.

I took it like, "hey, of course I am not happy about being benched, but it is what the coaches decided to do."

Geez bros...some of you need to CHILL!

Both Scandrick and Brown played very well last night. Scandrick is a baller and I'm glad his competitive fires are going.

I don't know about Skandrick anymore. Just not the same player and now this? First time we hear of a disgruntled player.

Yes he was.
Had a friend of mine texting me last night saying how Brown sucks he needs to go.
I tried explaining it to him, that Brown has played very well, he is a rookie, he made a mistake last week, and can't stop every player all the time.

he gets hung up on one bad play or bad game then focuses on that play. He did the same on Byron Jones last year.
He still hates Doug Free with a passion from the playoff game in what 2007 when we lost to the Vikings. Now I understand a bit about Free. But not Brown or Jones.
I need to remind him about what he said about Jones last year, and how well he is playing now.

Some people are...special.

NO football player is awesomely perfect on EVERY play. Some Dallas fans expect it, though.

I can't stand Scandrick, but he does seem to be better with a chip on his shoulder. Channel this rage, Scands, and take it out on ODB.

This is exactly correct, Catch. OScan hasn't left the slot, Brown was promoted to the outside when Mo went down. They tried OScan on the outside a few downs and it just didn't fit for him. OScan is a prototypical slot CB. And he's an elite slot CB, if I may say so.

Oscan is very good, but he needs to catch an occasional ball thrown to him every once in a while to be elite. He may be our best pass rusher though, so there's some bonus points.

I don't see anything wrong with a veteran being upset that a rookie surpassed him on the depth chart. His comments are reasonable.

The move makes sense. Brown is a better outside CB than Scandrick.

I think I can consider him elite, when he's at the top of his game, ints or otherwise, due to the fact that he's a slot cover and is so physical, as well as a blanket (again, when healthy).

To each their own, I certainly won't bemoan you for saying otherwise, because he hasn't been hawking.

For me, an elite slot cornerback is judged different than an outside CB.

And besides, frankly, how often do you hear the term "elite slot corner" lol I was kinda being hyperbolic to drive a point that the dude is one of the best at what he does

Was he asleep during film review against Washington?

Most importantly, shouldn't guys just peel back on personal status and soak in chemistry to do something that hasn't been done awhile....and certainly with this group....Scandrick included.
