Gotta give it up to Scandrick he was all over Welker most of the game. Its a shame he wasnt on him for the critical play before Denver tied the game up.

I think my biggest frustration from the game yesterday was on 2nd and goal from the 14 yard line they go to a zone defense and have a LB lined up on Wes Welker. To me that is just insane and sure enough it leads to a quick and easy 12 yard pass to Welker to set up the game tying touch down the very next play.

Anyway just wanted to give a shout out to one of the few defensive players, getting it done.

I'm sorry but no member of a defense that just gave up 51 points and looked completely inferior deserves any appreciation.

I like Scandrick and think he probably played well, but I don't think there's really any way to know. All we know is that the other guys were more open than Welker was. Since the other guys were wide wide open, who knows how well covered Welker was?

With no pass rush, Peyton always had a back or receiver hanging out in the flat. Coverage was actually pretty good, and Scandrick did a nice job, but with no pass rush and five receivers to cover, it's impossible to stop Petyon Manning.

When a defense is on pace to give up the most passing TDs in NFL history (on pace to allow 45) and the most passing yards in NFL history (on pave to allow 5400+ yards) it pretty much is impossible for any of the pass defenders to be playing that well.

I missed a lot of the first half, but from what I saw in the 2nd half, Scandrick played well.
