Was Gucci Guilty really so good it required a follow up cologne?

Can you imagine how witty Blackie Sherrod would have been with twitter?

Can we just get Demarco Murray to agree to play for Jim Brown money?

The Cowboys are 5-1 but haven't played a single division game. So how good is the NFCE? I still think mediocre but no where near the doormat it was projected. Talent's mediocre but the coaching is pretty good.

On second thought NFCE is probably not very good but the NFL itself is full of bad teams. It is the greatest league for the greatest sport and as big a part of American culture as anything so why can't we have better teams and play? Guessing because it is governed towards mediocrity or idiocracy... something like that.

Maybe Mike Slive can take over for God-dell once he beats cancer. He knows how to build/encourage dominance.

My most underrated Cowboy is Ronald Leary. He's the undrafted guy on a line of blue chippers and he's arguably been the best the last couple weeks. Handled Watt so well they moved him out to face the 100 million man. Then he backed that up last week against SEA. Not bad for a guy whose supposed to be semi-retired due to bad knees.

How long is Seattle going to ride out this Russell Wilson contract? Guys making under a as in 1 million dollars. There are vet minimum guys making more than him. Seriously Seattle....

Do Cowboys fans realize drawing attention to the world's biggest Cowboys haters is putting food on their table and money in their bank accounts? Not that that's any of my business.

If Leary is most improved and you were laughing it is because I have Ro McClain as Most Valuable so he wasn't eligible.

I think I'll feel bad for Demarcus Ware if Dallas wins a Super Bowl this year. OK, maybe not but I probably should.

Wade Phillips tweets remind me why I love guy but also why a simple country boy is not really cut out to coach in today's metricized/adjustment based NFL.

I don't think much of or about the Giants and that's just the way I like it and why I predict Dallas wins 30-13.

Fun stuff. You don't really think Slive or anyone else would do away with today's emphasis on parity, do you? Bottom line: parity pays.

I'd argue parity doesn't really pay.
Dallas/Seattle was the highest rated NFL game in almost a decade. That's because the Cowboys are winning.
Stars in big markets win the day and the biggest pike of cash.

I am ok with parity so long as it is bottom dragged to the middle not the top dragged down.
Penalties galore, poor clock mgmt and other things simply shouldn't dot the NFL landscape weekly.
We seriously had a national game end in a tie when a kicker missed from under 40 yards....
I blame soccer....

Blackie would be proud of your post JT.

I generally don't say thanks for kind words or tell people I appreciate likes because it seems trolly and needy but this man is a compliment I couldn't even pretend to ignore.
I learned to talk/speak listening to sports radio broadcasts --my first words were "Bibby Pitch".
And I learned to read from sports pages that were geared to kids.
I read both major Dallas area papers sports sections daily through at least Middle School.

Blackie taught me not to take the stuff too serious and how to be less linear in thinking even in a world where 1 loss equates to 1 win and all seems black and white.
I hope young journalists get introduced to that and are inspired by it.
As we move to "new media" it is good to also celebrate the genius of the old media.

I'm the last person to predict a Superbowl in week 7, in any way. But as a thought exercise, imagine if it were us, playing the Broncos, for all the marbles this year. Yeah, that would suck for Demarcus watching Jerry pry the trophy out of Jason's hands while he's sitting there with an ice pack and an ugly orange jersey.

A great Cowboy for so long. I hate that it wasn't feasible to have him on this team any longer.
