Dallas gleans a 2nd (#56) and 3rd (#94) and 1st (30) for them 1(16) SF takes OBJ

1st (30) Demarcus lawrence 6'3 251 LDE spot is refilled with another Demarcus. Natural Rusher.
2nd (48) Dominique Easley 6'2 288 DT 3 - with the extra pick Dallas feels good about this gamble on his knees.
2nd (56) Gabe Jackson 6'3 336 OG - Kareem Martin and Billy Turner are gone. Gabe has not given up a sack in 2 years in the sec. ZBS/pro-pass ready. Imagine Tyron, Gabe and the beard on the left side.
3rd (78) Donte Montcrief 6'2 220 WR Miss. 4.34 explosive receiver. Dri Archer would be nice but with our short QB 6'2 is better than 5'8
3rd (94) Will Sutton 6'0 300 DT 1 and 3 tech. good value here.
4th (119) Brandon Thomas - OG/OT Clem.
5th (158) Jerick Mckinnon RB eats up ground and has the strength and size to be an everydown back.
(4.35 5'9 209)

7th (229) Davon Coleman-AZ state. D1T/DE like this guy even in the 5th but hopefully he is still around.
7th (231) Henry Josey Miss RB
7th (238) Chris Whaley DT Texas - converted RB to DT. Still gaining weight and experience: 6'3 270. 1 Gap
7th (248) Taylor Gabriel Alibene Christian WR/KR/PR - Speedster

No way we'd get a 2nd and 3rd. Last year we made the same trade and only got a 3rd. We probably wouldn't even get just a 2nd.

I agree.
Recall that last's 3rd from SF was the higher of their two 3rd and we were dropping down from 18.
We could maybe get that late 2nd, that's it.

We can definitely get a 2nd but not two extra picks. We might be able to get a 3rd and a 4th though. I would prefer to go Shazier at #30. Lawrence is not a 1st round talent. There will be guys just as good later in the 2nd or in the 3rd. Give me:

1 (30): Shazier LB
2 (47): Easley DT
2 (56): Attachou DE
3 (78): Trai Turner OG
4 (119): Brandon Thomas OT
5 (158): Ken Bishop DT

I took the 'highly PREFERRED trade' to be what we'd wished we got last yr but didn't. So it would be preferred to get that this yr...

I've got that trade down as well, but have it being the 1st, 2nd and 5th. Note the 49ers do not have a 6th round pick, though they have 11 total. I think the fact the Jets and Eagles - and perhaps other teams as well ahead of the 49er's pick - are seeking Beckham as well and will drive the price up, but expecting a 1st, 2nd and 3rd appears a bit much. Other teams are likely to ask for less around our pick and so that will factor in. But if the draft value points means anything this year, the 49ers are still getting the better end of that deal points-wise. And they owe us for last year!

Also, I've got Easley and Lawrence swapped in mine, but who knows. I really like Lawrence but his film with Bitonio sticks out to me why he is not a 1st rounder. He needs to get stronger and develop his skills to be a force at WDE. But I like him over anybody not named Clowney or Barr in this draft for WDE.

Good mock draft and love the 3rd round picks.

I can't believe the fans short memory. Last year , trading back was successful due to the players drafted. It finally worked. It seems like everybody has forgot the failures that was a result of trading back over the years. I guess it depends on how much faith is put in the Cowboys scouts and Jerry's drafting as the GM. I am not sold on the process myself.
