For me, it was close between Lawson and Williams.

I went with Williams because I think he's the BPA and I believe Lawson is more hit and miss.

Holes in the secondary are harder to cover then average to above average LB. So I say get good coverage safety.

On the NFLnetwork draft preview, they were asked about underated players and Pat Kirwan brought up Manny Lawson and said that many thought he was only a second round pick but he was sneaking into the first. That after his scouting combing workout one scout said that he was Carl Banks with more speed. Mayock disagreed with him and said that before his workout that many thought he was more of a third and that he doesn't think Lawson can play LB or full time end and would be just 3rd down rusher. Then Kirwan disagreed back and said just imagine Demarcus Ware bookended with Lawson!

Odd that Mayock was down on Lawson though, he was touting him in his top five LB/tweeners back at the combine. I believe he had Wimbley ahead of him, but Lawson ahead of Carpenter.
