When does the schedule get released. I want to plan a trip to Opening weekend in Dallas. Never been to the new stadium and its on the bucket list. Also, any thoughts on where to stay and good places to go and such would be much appreciated.

I think around the draft.

Should be mid April, but the Tuesday before the draft at the latest.
Unless Goodell wants to screw this up as well.
If they stick to form, my guess is the 18th, 20th or 25th.

If Romo goes to the Broncos and its before the schedule is set, I bet the Cowboys play them on the first Sunday night.

Home opponents (*playoff team): New York Giants*, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks*, Kansas City Chiefs*, San Diego Chargers, Green Bay Packers*.

Away opponents (*playoff team): New York Giants*, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders*, Atlanta Falcons*.

I can see us playing the falcons the 1st or 2nd Sunday night game to open their new stadium, I predict we will be playing our 1st home game vs the Los Angeles Chargers (sounds weird) and playing the Chiefs on Thanksgiving day

I originally thought the Chiefs on T-Day also. However with the new agreement from the past few years, we could very well see a NFC on T-Day, even though it is CBS's turn to show our game.
CBS will probably want the Chiefs game on a late Sunday 3:25 game, as that means better ratings. As they will get the T-Day ratings regardless who we play.

Around the draft has been the norm for the schedule release, usually been before the draft.

I would suggest staying in Arlington, I have had good luck with the hotels by Six Flags and its about a mile from the stadium, stuff to see just depends on what you like, there is a lot to see and do in DFW

Not sure what your plan was but I did a Star Sports Tour a couple of years ago and it was great.
Not cheap but well worth it.

The draft used to be in mid April, around the 20th.

If you're planning on tailgating, I wouldn't go to the home opener. It'll still be like 98° outside. It's not even fun or worth it.
