Schedule

You do realize the usual is always 3 games in 14 days right?
It is only 2 days less than the standard. It always kills me when I hear this every year it seems.

3 days can be a big difference. Especially later in the season when all body parts are hurting, sore, tired.

They better not. Its the Rams, dude.

Yo bro, trust me, we are not the same Rams that we have been since 2006. If I knew how to post a thread, I'd elaborate. But, this will indeed be a good test for us to see where we are on D. We haven't been able to stop the run which bodes well for you guys.

Not always, but the last few years. Essentially all this means is we play the Thursday game after Thanksgiving, then we get our 10 day break. We're home all 3 of those games, so this is no big deal at all.
We always play 3 games in 12 days (Sunday-Sunday-Thursday, ending with Thanksgiving). This year and last, we play Sun-Sun-Thu-Thu, which contains two sets of 3 games in 12 days. But it's still just 4 games in 19 days, which virtually every team that plays a Thursday game deals with (Sun-Sun-Sun-Thu).

I bet no other team in the league plays 3 teams coming off 10 days of rest. Let alone play 3 games in 12 days.

I don’t think it’s a secret anymore that the New York City driven slime ball of a league goes out of it’s way to screw the Cowboys over.
Giants have like 4 teams off extra rest
More than that.
The Giants face four teams coming off of byes, and they face us coming off of our 10-day break post-Thanksgiving. And their Thursday game is on the road (although Washington isn't too far away).
So no, there's no New York bias in the scheduling.

You are the same Rams that gave 39 points to the offensive firepower that is the 49ers. Pierce Garcon had 149 yds recieving. He's good, but made him look like Jerry Rice.

You sir, are correct.

And the fact that all three of our games are home is a huge benefit. The 3 games in 12 days is always a weird narrative to me. You could say 3 games in 26 days for the same stretch.

LOL. If the 49ers hung 39 points on that Rams D, imagine what we're going to do. They aren't putting up 30+ on our defense.
not to mention, since the 49ers got 39, our Offense should do well as you suggest, controlling the clock and limiting the Rams offense...I said last week that we win by more than a TD...I see this as us winning by more than 14

Consider this: We were 4-12 last season. We ranked dead last in YPG, Total Pts, Pts/Gm, Scrimmage yards, and ANY other category you want to look up offensively. Defensively, we were a decent unit, but nothing special.

This season, so far anyways, we are flip flopped. Defense has been very suspect, and the offense is one of the best in the league. Now, one can say we haven't played anyone and while true, good teams beat up on bad teams no? Again, this is a "cautiously optimistic" approach as a Rams fan.

We are a 4-3 defense transitioning to a 3-4. We don't exactly have the right personnel for that scheme yet. Point is what I said earlier: this isn't the same Rams; period.

You could also say we are playing 2 games in 6 days right now since we played on Monday, then play on this Sunday. I think people mentally divide the number of days up by the games played and say OMG we are playing a game every 3 (2 games in 6 days) or 4 (3 games in 12 days) days when it's not true. Yet people keep falling for it, lol. Even if a team played the same time on Sunday for the whole schedule, you could always say OMG, they are playing 2 games every 7 days or 3 games every 14 days.

Sure a couple of days DO matter for rest & recoup, but some people throw out the slightly shortened week as a major talking point and it just isn't IMO.

A Rams fan!!! This is like sighting a Unicorn licking a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow! :)

Soooooooo, let me get this straight. We play the Rams on Sunday with them coming in on 10 days rest, and the the Packers next Sunday, with them coming in on 10 days rest? Well, that sucks!

My class schedule this semester are five classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays...plenty of time to watch games and catch up on class work. :) (naw, not working on my Masters yet)

Just had my first meal at Salt Grass today. My wife and I enjoyed it a lot. The bloody mary was great!!

If you truly consider yourself a contender, you should be able to handle it.

And the Cowboys better build a home field advantage all the way through the playoffs as well.
