RJ Choppy from ESPN Radio

Tony Romo does bring some drama to the games he plays in that's for sure!

Adam Shefter defending Tony Romo

I agree with Schefter 100%. I would say Romo is even better than Peyton Manning right now because of the knee injury and how long it's taking him to come back to full strenght from it. The idea that anyone wants Eli Manning over Romo is just absurd.

JJT on Dan Patrick talking Cowboys Defense/Wade

I am also getting tired of Wade and his 'spin' that everything is always positive. The defense would be getting ripped today if they didn't hold up on those last two drives. But the thing is that they did hold up and they must continue to do that from here on out.

Will Wade be back in 2009?

Yup. The only question is how to maneuver this. If Wade doesn't want to leave, and it's unlikely he will if the team does as well as we think they will, how will that leave Garrett? He's only extended through this season, so it's going to be a tight-rope act in order to please both guys.

Personally, for the good of the 'chise, I say to hell with public perception and give Garrett his pick of the litter. If he wants to be the HC, you got it bro, we'll fire Wade and plug you in there ASAP... give you cart blanche with the offense, keep Stuart around to keep the D at status quo and not skip a beat.

It's just dealing with the inevitable NFL perception that if Jerry deems you expendable, there is no saving your job. We all know it's an extenuating and extremely rare circumstance in this case, but you know opponent GM's will be using that.

I think that may depend on whether Garrett wants him back. Really. If Garrett goes to Jerry and says 'It needs to be now', He will be our next head coach.

Best case scenario....after a Super Bowl victory Wade rides off into the sunset.

Otherwise....Wade most likely just rides off into the sunset....

I think Garrett is ok with waiting on THE JOB. As long as he's getting the money, the praise, the rewards, and is happy he'll stay here I think.

He will be the next coach of the Cowboys. If the Boys are one and done in the playoffs or don't make them then Wade is gone.

To be honest I'd rather have them both. I'm not certain that Garrett is HC material yet. He's still rather inexperienced although he has grown up around it. Another year or two would be helpful. He's likely being handed some HCing duties already to groom him.

Wade is darned lucky he's got such an explosive offense lead by the big 4 with lots of help by the big 5 OL. The defensive play certainly needs to step it up. Rogers is also a good QB with some real weapons who can also move around in the pocket; just the kind of QB who can give our defense real problems.

Lets be brutally honest here, anything short of an apperance in the NFC Title game gets Wade fired. If Wade cant get the job done with 13 probowlers, then he will be shown the door, many teams have won championships with far less talent and I dont think a "participation banner for being a final 8 team" is going to save his arse this year.

I know it, you know it, Jerry knows it, and even Wade knows it.;)

I'm sure that Assistant Head Coach title that was given to him when Jerry resigned him included a lot of hands on training. However, I'm unsure how much Garrett can improve the team as head coach cause as OC he hasn't been able to get our offense to committ fewer penalties. BTW: If Garrett takes over the HC job after this season, don't expect the current DC to remain. Garrett will bring in somebody with a lot more success/experience to run our 34.

I will pack Stewart's bags and drive him to the airport myself. He has got to be one of the worst defensive coordinators in the entire league.

Even freaking Campo would be a better DC at this point, seriously fellas.

I would not have believed we would hold Philly to 7 points int he 2nd half. They did have some drops, but we did play better. Also, against someone like Eli we might have had 10 sacks. McNabb was incredible getting out of some of those situations. On Romo, last year if he had 2 series like he did the other night it might have ruined him for the rest of the game and he might have thrown 2 more picks. He HAS matured, and came right back with a great drive. Very encouraging to me.

Actually, they 'stopped' Philly only on the last drive. The second to last drive, McNabb throws it a little high for a wide-open Westbrook. He would have easily gotten the first down, because of the amount of space the CBs were playing off.

Also, this drive was when the Eagles shot themselves in the foot with a 10 yard penalty, putting them back in a 2nd and 18 yard. McNabb threw a 10 yarder to Smith, I believe. If McNabb hits Westbrook, the Eagles would have had an easy first down, despite having to overcome the penalties.

Prior to this drive, Dallas also didn't technically stop the Eagles. McNabb botched an easy hand-off, and this too after the Eagles moved the chains quite easily for a first down on 2 6 yard strikes by McNabb.

This is the problem with a purely statistical view. Also, Dallas was playing against the deep pass the whole day. It was because of this, that Philly was easily moving the chains with short passes. The only difference between the last drive and the rest of the game is the Eagles had limited time to take the ball downfield. They had to take deeper shots downfield.

Look at the Eagles drive prior to the 4th quarter and into the beginning of the 4th quarter, where they marched down the field easily from their own 26 and scored a TD. If Wade made such awesome adjustments, then why did the Eagles do what they were doing in the first-half and score at will on that long drive.

Besides getting info about the team we didn't have, I find Wade's pressers very annoying. I love how he likes to tell everyone listening to the presser the stats of the game as if we didn't already know them!?!?! The only people that listen to the presser are sports writers and super fans. Hey Wade, we already know Romo passed for over 300 yards!

If he doesn't want to hang his player out to dry, then don't, but shutup with only painting a brighter picture we we know it's not all good.

Dan Patricks not too bright.

And the media using this show me in january backhanded comment is just annoying.

I hope they all continue this we cant win and romo isnt that good talk.

Hell we get it here. Romo was getting bagged on all day here yesterday.

It does show how good we are, all the usual guys who only know the star players, like espn employees and the Dan Patrick's of the world are busy bagging on romo on a day after he took apart Jim johnsons defense for the second time in the last 3 tries.
